And he's right. Bettman and Goodenow should step aside if they are unwilling to do the deal. I think both of them will lose their jobs when or if a CBA gets done.

Hard to argue with the man. The only time there seemed to be any progress in this mess was when it was Bill Daly, Ted Saskin, Trevor Linden, and basically anyone not named Gary Bettman or Bob Goodenow leading the charge. But screw it, we'll be having this same "get them outta there, we need a deal done now" argument in six months, so I'll save thoughts on that for then.

The NHL isn't in dire financial straits. Some teams might be, but the last CBA included revenue sharing to help prop them up.
