OH! So THAT'S what happened to him.

I didn't know he went into the 'real fighting' business.

Anyways, he won his first fight. Congrats Dude!

Well, he did look quick and powerful. I wonder how long before he's facing Brock in a "former WWE Champ" fight for the UFC.

Can't really tell from just that brief outing, but I could see this going well for him. He certainly wasn't hesitant to beat on the guy!

There's a really nice interview (youtube.com) with Bobby. Intelligent, & downright chatty! He made some particularly nice points about having trained for wrestling for 18 years, but people want to poo-poo (my word, not Bobby's) that just because he had a job with the WWE for a little while. Pity that when Vince had Bobby, Vince didn't want to just let Bobby relax & be more himself. I'd always assumed that Bobby wasn't a great talker, & that's why they gave him a "Bobby smash." kinda character.

I hope it goes well for him!

Meanwhile, which direction does Vince go with hiring guys who are much better suited to be real fighters? On one hand, you put WWE development effort & resources into them, & then they bail. On the other hand, it lends a cachet of legitimacy to the WWE, & offers some free cross-promotion opportunities. Dunno.

Vince has always wanted to be more "legit" in mainstream media's eyes........why not start sponsoring MMA fighters? Worst case scenario, "Rampage" Jackson v. Khali at UFC 81.

I'm Charlie Owens, good night, and good luck.

I think Vince finally sees MMA (or at least UFC) as competition, so I doubt that happens.

It's a cliche to say that someone was a "walking encyclopedia of" his area of expertise. But that cliche doesn't do Bert Sugar justice. He was a walking LIBRARY of boxing.
