The last Yankees game I went to was in 2006, so I've never been to one without hearing his voice...very sad. I always thought he had the most distinct voice, and remember how all of my friends and I came up to bat in pickup games doing our best Bob Sheppard impressions ("Your attention please...") Jeter still uses his Bob Sheppard introduction, which I'm sure will continue on and make everyone at the first home game after the break sad and nostalgic.

That'd be something else wouldn't it? And for any Mets fans who don't know about the midget, here's something to fill you in a bit. http://bostondirtdogs.boston.com/Headline_Archives/2004/09/playoff_bound.html
