He ran away from him to get backstage? What a pussy Dupree is. Seriously, if a guy starts wailing on you, hit back for God's sake, it was a house show, no one would care and that's the only way a guy like Holly will ever respect you.

Anyway, this isn't a reason to fire Thurman Sparky Plugg. His decade without drawing is a good reason, and I can't imagine why that isn't enough.

It really doesn't come close to justifying anything. He's "legit tough guy" Bob Holly, face off with Dupree and then take a swing. Dishing out free shots because he can is total cowardice.

I'd continue, but I'd just be repeating myself. :-)

A 230 pound man hit him as hard as he could in the head with a steel chair and then when he was probably knocked out, he punched him as hard as he could in the face. I doubt Dupree was in much of a state to defend himself.

The only pussy is Bob Holly.

After having some time to review my harsh conclusion, I've decided that I was a little hasty. But I still think he should have stood up for himself. I mean, yeah, he got wailed on but it wasn't Rodney King, I'm sure he had his bearings to some extent.

But we all know Holly's a pussy, the tough enough thing from wayback clarified that.

Hadn't posted in awhile, and this is hardly gonna make any of my future opinions particularly anticipated, but here goes:

I'm kinda entertained when Bob Holly gets in the ring. Much moreso than by some of the other guys.

There, I said it. I know, it's pathetic and sad, but true.

Having said that, he's an asshole and shouldn't be with the company. Whether it be because of this incident, or any of the others, he should have a pinkslip crammed so far down his throat he shits confetti.

You know from the sounds of it, with their bleached blonde hair and their great attitudes, it could be all sorts of fun to see Bob Holly and Scott Steiner in the same ring.

(Not that I'm saying they should bring back Steiner at this point)

Haven't I heard something before about how when a young wrestler has heat with someone else, he should just take his licking quietly so that he can get back on their good side? Like he's taking a punishment and once it's over all bad sentiments are gone.

Caveat: My venom is directed at Meltzer's source, not Shapiro.

I call bullshit on this reason for Holly's wrath.

Number one, what was Dupree doing driving a rental car in Holly's name without Holly in it? Number two, any cop that would've pulled him over would've required a driver's license. At best for Dupree, he'd have needed to give the cop Holly's real name, his date of birth, and his state of driver's license to try to get away with it... is it really that sure that Dupree would've had all that information accurately? And bear in mind, this is assuming that a cop buys Dupree trying to pass himself off as Holly. Number three, all that would leave is a non-moving violation - OMG BOB HOLLY HAD TO DEAL WITH A PARKING TICKET!!! DUPREE SUCKS HE GOT WHAT HE DESERVED!!!

Methinks this "reason" smells of the work of a Holly apologist and/or a Dupree Hater.

You probably have heard that, but re: the tough enough incident, Holly himself said that if a guy starts taking liberties on you the right thing to do is nail him right back, because he'll respect you more and the fans will get more into it that way. Obviously this doesn't extend to shooting, but within reason I think it works.

Hard to know which philosophy is the right one.

And the Torch is now reporting that Holly has been "reprimanded" and "heavily fined." Part of his reprimand was losing to a jobber in a dark match at last night's Smackdown tapings. Wow, what a friggin punishment. Hopefully, he will also be fired in the near future, but I doubt that for some reason.

Anyway those interested can read the Torch's story here... Click Here (pwtorch.com)

Dupree was in Bob Holly's car because they travelled together and Bob lent him his rental car. Dupree didn't pay the ticket he got, supposedly threw it away, and it got blamed on Bob who had to go to court and it affected his insurance. Dupree wouldn't admit what he did at first, then did but acted like it was no big deal. Bob got pissed at him. Not that it justifies what Bob did, but that's what's being reported.

No, No, No. See Bob Holly comes close to being a decent person here because I agree with everything related to his problem up until the point where he has to beat the shit out of the guy ON THE JOB, in public, in front of thousands of people. If he slugged him privately, between the two men, then fine, let the two men deal with their own problems. Dupree is in no way a pussy, because he was (SHOCKINGLY) trying to be professional and just have a match, not start a real-life altercation in front of the fans in attendance. Fuck Bob Holly. Unprofessionalism at it's FINEST.

Whoever said that Bob Holly was a "legit tough guy" obviously missed the Brawl for All a few years back when ole Hardcore got his ass kicked pretty damn bad. I don't remember who it was or what round, but Holly looked like he couldn't fight at all. Oh I'm sure some of you may be wondering what Brawl for All was. Basically during the attitude era WWF(E) set up a boxing tournament where some of the mid carders actually boxed. No it was not staged, it was the real deal... wish i could see it again.

Bart Gunn beat him... y'know, Bart Gunn, the guy who shocked everyone by KOing (or at least stopping via injury) Dr Death Steve Williams and going on to win the Brawl for All Tournament over the current WWE Champion, Bradshaw.

In any case, while Brawl For All was certainly more legit than pro wrestling in terms of actual fighting... I still wouldn't consider it actual fighting, or necessarily the sort of thing a "legit tough guy" would excel at.

Styles make fights, as they say.

Regardless of all that, Holly seems to have a history of being a "legit tough guy" only when smaller, less aggressive guys are involved. You put him in the octagon or something, and I bet this ass gets handed to him in under ten seconds. THOSE guys are legit tough guys.

Holy did Dupree face looked messed up on Smackdown

Carlito Cool was in the ring with Bob Holly when he hurt his shoulder. How many guys have been in the ring with him and get injured, it's hardly a coincidence anymore if he does it on purpose or not... I understand being a A=hole but talented but this guy hasn't had anything over since Clinton was president.

I hear you Pimpstess, letting go a real nice guy like Rico, totally humble and cool from everyone I heard. If the man behind the character doesn't matter fine lets talk character where Rico took as bad a gimmick as you can get and made it work more times than not. Now look at Holly, well enough said.

I wouldn't count being used to get Bully Ray over as "doing it right", myself. Foley may actually be gone this time, given that he's repeatedly said he's got no interest in resigning with them in August.
