I was watching VH1's 80's show for 1985 last night and they were talking about Live Aid and, of course, Bob Geldof. Most of the musical acts they talked to basically stated that Geldof was in it for the ego, etc. Pretty similar stuff to anything anybody has ever said or heard about him.

Has anybody ever heard someone say anything good about Bob Geldof?

What kind of disjointed society do we live in if Merry Christmas is Politically Incorrect?

Yes, he used to put on a good live show. Other than that, no.

I enjoyed him in "The Wall". Granted it was 12 years ago and I was probably stoned, but still...
Oh yeah, and "I Don't Like Mondays" was always a high school favorite.
But yeah, I've heard similar ego stories over the years.

Leave it to the Chairman to no-sell Death. Granted, I'm killing time waiting for the fall releases of Ol' Blue Eyes's 1965 St. Louis concert w/ Dean and Sammy on DVD, and the DVD-Audio 5.1 re-release of "Sinatra at the Sands," but man oh man......
