Has anyone heard anything about this (mediainfocenter.org)? " Miramax Films will co-finance and distribute computer-animated family films starting with "Opus," adapted from the popular "Bloom County" comic strip, the company said Thursday. Miramax will release some of the films under its Dimension banner and produce them in conjunction with Wild Brain Inc., a San Francisco-based animated film company perhaps best known for creating the nasty toe fungus in commercials for the prescription drug Lamisil."

I love Bloom County but I can't envision a 3D movie version being anything but lousy. While I think Breathed's old work is wonderful, his new stuff is abysmal which also doesn't fill me with optimism for this project.

I'd rather see them release the old toons on DVD.

Just take a flannel shirt and paint it red,
Then draw a chicken on it, with two poker-dice for eyes,
An' have it wavin' razors round its head ...

The kid playing Lex was awesome. The final scene with him looking in the mirror was frightening. He does look like Michael Rosenbaum. If they do not get Michael back, I don't think its all for not mainly due to the strength of the last few episodes.
