I somehow have a feeling this announcement may carry more weight on THIS particular board. From wwe.com:
HERSHEY, Pa. – Sept. 21, 2003 – Former WWE Superstar Steve Blackman, a resident of Pennsylvania, came to Unforgiven tonight to see friends he hasn’t seen in a year and a half.
The “Lethal Weapon” attended a SmackDown! event here a few months ago, but he hadn’t seen the RAW crew since injuries forced him to leave the company nearly two years ago.
“I live about 10 miles from here,” Blackman said. Referring to his former “Head Cheese” tag team partner, Al Snow, he joked, “I came to bust Al’s balls.”
The former Hardcore Champion was sidelined due to severe migraine headaches. According to doctors, the headaches are caused because of bone spurs and other problems in his neck and spinal cord area. While he was competing, he’d get them 10 times a month; these days, he gets one every six to eight weeks, he said.
Recently, Blackman has gotten in touch with Kurt Angle and Dr. Hae-Dong Jho of Pittsburgh. Dr. Jho performed surgery on Angle last April; the Olympic gold medalist was able to successfully return to the ring two months later, and the operation is being viewed more and more as a miracle procedure. Blackman is considering – even leaning toward – having the surgery, which, if successful, would cure him of the headaches, and pave the way for a possible return.

If Blackman can come back... that just might convince CRZ to come back (if Kim will let him, of course). ;)
A frank discussion of HHH's chances in Hollywood: Dark Renegade: "I can see it now...Freddy vs. Jason vs. Triple H. Both Freddy and Jason are much better, but Triple H will screw Satan's daughter and he'll get Satan's help in going over both of them." Canadian Bulldog: "That's just such an unlikely scenario. Obviously, it would end with Triple H running Jason over with a car, then invading his nightmare so that he could wallop Freddy Krueger with a sledgehammer."
Kurt Angle specifically mentioned Steve Blackman in an interview/article on WWE.com when he was discussing the results of his surgery. I would presume that means Angle was interested in seeing Blackman return, because he doesn't seem like the type of guy that would just be brought up at random.
This is a banner day. First I watch a goddamn magical Red Sox win, and now I hear that Blackman might come back to WWE. September 23rd, 2003 is the best day I've had in a while.

They are geographically linked - they have that Pennsylvania thing in common. Also, Blackman was Angle's first pretty-much-big feud when he came to the WWF.

I dunno. It was a pretty bad day if you were a Seattle fan watching the M’s offense sputter out again.

Also, the specifics of Blackman's injury: "According to doctors, the headaches are caused because of bone spurs and other problems in his neck and spinal cord area." As soon as I read that sentence, I said to myself ("Self," I said) "That's exactly the kind of thing that Dr Jho's procedure is perfect for."

Some of us after a while have gotten used to Seattle's offense sputtering. Dammit... why do I have to live in such close proximity to such a chokey team.
Oh well.. at least The Seahawks'll keep me happy til their season dies
CHARLIE: I should have gone in. I'm such a chicken. I should have kissed her. I should go knock on her door and just kiss her. It would be romantic. It would be something we'd tell our kids about someday. I'm going to do that right now. (Drives Away)

There's always next year (I'm allowed to say that because it's been said to me every goddamn year).
At least you guys have been the champs in living memory. I actually really enjoy watching the Mariners, and I was pulling for them over Oakland earlier this month to take the AL West Title, but whatcha gonna do?
Anyway, we'll give Oakland a good ass-kickin' for you guys.

I'm okay with Daniel Bryan taking the beatdown for the simple reason that I don't think anyone else in the company could have taken it so well. I'm not sure if even Evan Bourne could have remained limp & motionless during the impact of the High Cross.
