| #1 Posted on 18.11.04 1039.59 | Instant Rating: 1.95 | While Republicans, in an effort to further prove their fiscal conservatism, have voted to allow the government to go even further into debt, it has come to light that John Kerry has been sitting on about $15 million in unspent campaign money.
This amount is trivial to the amount needed to run a campaign, so I doubt he's really saving it for 4 years from now (especially since the stigma of being a loser is especially hard to overcome in today's political climate), but what the fuck is he doing with it? His campaign stopped spending money for a brief time in August, he pulled all operations out of Missouri (which he probably could have won), and he somehow had this money sitting around? I really don't want to believe those nutty "Clinton sabotaging his campaign" theories, but what else is there?
As for the debt, remember when we had a fucking SURPLUS?!?! Hope everybody enjoyed their $300, as paying it back's gonna' be a bitch.

I'm all for fiscal restrain and all, and the Republicans have screwed the pooch on it. But this had to be done.
Well, the $15 million is money transfered to him by the DNC. Because so many lefty groups were there, they really couldn't spend it all.
What really gives Kerry a heads up for 2008 is what you missed: the $45 million left over from his primary campaign that he can roll over...
