Bruce is a great producer, good friend and I am certain he is going to thrive in his position. He’s going to be working with a great team of the most dedicated and hard working people I have had the pleasure of working with and getting to know. https://t.co/aMKk8d3Rx7
This isn't very surprising. Say what you will about RAW (no please, go ahead), it has started to feel some of Heyman's distinct influence in places. But Smackdown has felt like Vince's show the entire time. Either Bischoff was never really giving the show direction in the first place, or he never bothered to actually try and change the overall tone of the show. Either way, no surprise he's gone.
I hope all the talk of him moving out of his house (mansion?!) and relocating the other side of the country weren't true or that is really not good for the Bischoff family.
Heyman seems to be having an influence on things, unfortunately that probably includes the Lashley/Lana/Rusev storyline, but now the brand split has been done hopefully changes will be seen and enjoyed. Fingers crossed!
They didn't really give him a whole lot of time, did they?
