| #21 Posted on 27.6.02 2041.12 | In regards to why people haven't forgiven Goldberg, and the idea that it's partially due to the fact that Goldberg seems to have no remorse for ending Bret's career, injuring him badly, all because he couldn't be bothered to learn how to work safely, I think this says it all...the full text of this is at The Observer site but this is the relevant part:
Bret Hart suffered a mild stroke in a bicycle accident on Monday, but is now out of danger and listed in stable condition in a Calgary hospital. After a battery of tests, it was revealed that he had suffered a stroke on the right side of his brain. One of the reasons he was forced to retire from wrestling in 2000 was because there was fear because of the damage from the serious concussions in the ring that he could suffer a stroke if he took another hard blow to the head. According to those close to the situation, he has made great progress since Monday, but has very limited control of the left side of his body.
Yep, I can't for the life of me understand lingering anger towards Big Bill.
Anyone remember the joy of seeing him bash the Undertaker's motorcycle with his sledgemhammer and doing no damage and being all like, "Mjolnir will not break thine cycle? I say thee NAY!" and dumping it off the stage. - Enojado Viento says the funniest thing I've ever read on Wienerville. | Papercuts!

Quoth the Meltzer:
"The doctors now believe the stroke did not occur due to the concussions he suffered during his wrestling career."
So now we're back to the stroke NOT being Goldberg's fault, as many so desperately want it to be (how sad is that?).

I've heard enough!
How do YOU know Goldberg would wind up on Smackdown!?

Well, I guess considering all he did was end the man's career, not cause him to become a vegetable, I most certainly overracted. None of this changes the fact that when you end a man's career, and never take the time to say "sorry. my bad.", you're an asshole, and you SHOULD be a pariah.
But just to make sure no one accuses me of not taking my medicine like a big boy "I'm sorry I accused Bill Goldberg of causing Bret Hart's stroke. That was judgmental of me, and I should have waited until all the facts came in. I apologize to Bill Goldberg and all those who may have seen this factually incorrect statement."
