Hey, I was just thinking -- did they give a new undisputed belt to the Rock? It's the same design, I think, but it sure looked a lot bigger this week, and a lot better, too.
I don't know if it's the size. I think a bit more black was put in to give it more definition. I'm not sure, though...

They also changed the old WWF Scratch logo to the current WWE Scratch logo
They also did it for the Cruserweight Belt, but that's old news.
The remaning belts seem to still have the old Logo.
You say "WWE" and I say "WWF" You say "Sports-Entertainment" and I say "Wrestling" "WWE" "WWF" "Sports-Entertainment" "Wrestling" Let's call the whole thing off.
Now they just need to either restore the IC belt to it's old design or NOW would be the perfect opportunity to redo the design, seeing as how they just combined it with the European title.
Question: What exactly does the Intercontinental/United States/European Championship represent? I mean, Rob Van Dam is currently the greatest wrestling in Europe, the US and the Intercontinent. What does that entail?
"That's what the Internet is for, slandering others anonymously" Banky Edwards (Jason Lee), Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back
Well Intercontinental means all the continents. Which I guess makes the World belt owner Master of Land, Sea and AIR!
I got two blips on my Ha-dar. Shoot 'em down!
The next time I hear you say "glass ceiling" or you complain about someone being shoved down their throats, I'm gonna take that glass ceiling and shove it down your throat.
The following announcement has not been paid for because it's free. Getting back on topic, I definitely think it's a bigger belt. And either I'm going nuts, or the old belt looked a LOT like the belt that Hogan had during his early runs, which gives a lot more meaning to why they gave Triple H the new belt right before he lost it to Hogan. If those two things are at all related, Vince was seriously reaching for nostalgia. Either that or I'm just nuts. And I do agree that a change would do all the belts some good, especially the Tag Team titles. I personally like the IC belt, although it could be a little bigger.

Intercontinental, from what i understood, representes the Continent of North American.
"You can't fire a gun in a confined space! What are you tring to do, make us deaf?!" "Just get out of the chopper." "What?" "Get out of the chopper!" "The crops!?" - Jack Lemmon and James Garner, "My Fellow Americans", and the reason I say "The crops?" instead of "Huh?"

Nope, it's INTERcontinental. That's North and South America. Remember the 5 star match in Brazil that crowned Patterson?
So now, the Intercontinental championship represents three continents, North America, South America, and Europe. It also has added value in the US (US title) and represents the best wrestler on television (TV title).

Eh. Too much history... with too many great champions thrown into one belt... but that's my opinion. I do like the look of the bigger belt though.
I've torn myself apart.... and tried to figure out why... but the only answer i was ever given... that really fits..... is the fact... that women are crazy.
Definition of: Intercontinental-connnecting or traveling between continents
I believe WWE used the term Intercontinental because boxing has used (and still does I believe) Intercontinental as a title for a secondary champion.
Also, The current belt has pictures of all the continents on the 4 plates on the sides of the belt. NA and SA, Europe and Africa, Asia and Australia, and Antarctica is pictured on 1 plate by itself. I think it's pretty cool to have the continents on the plates instead of WWE symbols.
It also begs the question as to why WWE never had an Antarctican champion, Asian champ, African champ, and so on. Faarooq could have asked for an African championship when he was playing the race card as leader of the Nation. The European belt never made sense to me. I have hated it sense its inception.
BTW: the new Undisputed belt rules. I would get pissed when I ever I saw the belt on TV representing the man. Kind of like when WWF changed the Intercontinental belt. Why would you want to make important belts smaller? Especially the belt that was a combination of the two best belts perhaps ever(WWF Attitude era belt and the Ric Flair belt). The new belt is a good size and almost similar to the old IC belt in shape and size. Hopefully they redesign all the belts(leave the continents on IC stap though). Name plates are cool too. I think the new Cruiser belt has one, so they all should have one.
Question: The IC belt has no lineage to the TV belt, but there was a title that I read was merged into the US belt before it was disbanded(an old NWA title I think). What title was it? Pretty cool that IC belt contains US and European title, but they should have had Test-Edge-and Christian at Survivor Series and done it when they were unifying all the titles.

When Nikita Koloff was NWA United States Champion he beat Wahoo McDaniel on 09/28/86 and unified it with the NWA National Heavyweight Title.

Certainly a decent show, more good than bad, and what was bad was somewhat subjective (i.e. I can see why others might not mind it so much.) Going through the recap chronologically: * The Eric, Shawn and Hunter Show only took about three weeks.
