Now at least to me Big Vito always looked like the better of the two in WCW. The thing is now he is nowhere to be found and Johnny the Bull is in the WWE. Now I know that Johnny the Bull has a better look, but other than that is he really that much better than Big Vito?

It's my (admittedly fuzzy) recollection that Johnny the Bull was the better wrestler of the two, while Vito was the more over of the two.

But by the time The Mamalukes made a name for themselves in WCW, I'd almost completely turned over to the WWF.

“You read about all these terrorists -- most of them came here legally, but they hung around on these expired visas, some for as long as 10-15 years. Now, compare that to Blockbuster; you are two days late with a video and those people are all over you. Let's put Blockbuster in charge of immigration.”

I may be wrong, but isn't Vito kind of old? That could have a lot to do with it. Johnny's young.

They never picked up Vito's contract, I remember that much, while Johnny the Bull was one of the 24 guys they originally bought out from WCW. Maybe Vito had one of those bigger guaranteed contracts, and choose to sit it out? I'm sure it's expired by now, but still.. they might try to snap up a Nash, a Booker T, or a Flair after the contract expires (or they buy it out), but I'm not sure they'd clamour to get Big Vito. But with that said, I have absolutely no idea where he's gone.

Not only was Vito more over, but Johnny was EXTREMELY injury prone, which is why I'm surprised Johnny made it and not Vito. The solution of course, is to reunite the Mamalukes and bring in Disqo to manage them.

Wasn't Johnny the Bull the one who got seriously injured by a Kwee Wee monkey flip?

The only time Vito lost points with me was when he switched to his Italian flag tights. He's not the type of guy who should be in tights.

The reason it caught my eye (other than being on the front page of the Sunday paper) is that I've met Larry a few times. Here's one story I posted on another board a year ago:
