Well it is a weak conference. Yeah so 3 teams are in the Elite Eight that's great. But that doesn't mean the whole conference was good all season long. It wasn't. I mean let's not get to excited now, Wisconsin had a pretty easy road to this point and Michigan State might have beat their number 1 seed, but Duke getting the number 1 seed was a joke.

Even if Wisconsin and MSU win today and make it 3 teams in the Final Four, I'm sure people will still say it was a weak conference. The arguments about the easy road are going to come, but you can't pick who you play in the tourney. Syracuse and Kansas could have been on those roads, but apparently they weren't as good as advertised. Duke might have been a "joke" of a number one seed, but they were still number one. Some people just have their bias and won't let it go, no matter what supporting evidence there is.
As an aside, I was at the Illinois-Arizona game last night, and I have to say it was the most exciting game I've ever seen. I will never forget the noise that went up at the beginning of the game when the Illini ran out, or at the end when time ran out. My heart was just about coming out of my chest, and I couldn't even move for about a half hour after the game. Just unbelievable, and I will never forget any of it. Go Illini!

Perhaps when the Big Ten wins a Big Ten-ACC Challenge (some challenge!), then there can be some comparison. While the ACC may or may not be the strongest conference in the country each year, it's still stronger than the Big Ten.

I don't care for either conference, but I'd rather have my conference do well in March when the real money is at stake than win some made for ESPN event in early December.

Touche, but it's not like the Big Ten is blowing the ACC out in the tournament. Note that each conference has approximately the same number of wins and losses in the tournament thus far (11-3 and 10-4 I believe). Plus I think they've only gone head-to-head twice and split those two games (UNC over Wisconsin, Michigan State over Duke). Unfortunately, UNC will probably win the national championship, but more importantly (to me at least), Louisville will wipe the mat with Illinois. For the record, if UNC does win the title, that'll make it an even 10 a piece for the ACC and the Big Ten in terms of national championships.

Bah. I'd feel better about the Big Ten dominating college basketball if my Hoosiers were the ones doing the dominating. I could honestly care less about Illinois and Michigan State.

I don't know why I find this as funny as I do, maybe its because the typo makes the name very close to something else, but I laughed when I saw this. http://msn.foxsports.com/cbk/story/6627642?MSNHPHMA
