What's with the BIG RED X over Stone Cold in the Opening Video for RAW?

Oh, and I don't think it's spoiling anything, but better to put that up there then get hollered at. :)

Stone Cold was fired last week. Remember?

See, this is why the writers feel they can drop storylines and forego all sense of continuity when booking matches from one show to the next.

Keep in mind that it's only acceptable to forget things from one week to the next when you're old like me. ;-)

OK, I understand what you were getting at now, and I see your point. I remember back in the '70's the (then) WWWF used the BIG RED X when one wrestler was biting another in the middle of the ring after the match was over. Gee, I wish I could remember whose gimmick that was (see what I mean about memory fading when you get to be my age!).

Well, considering what just happened not one minute ago over there, I had a thought...

Stone Cold Steve Austin: RAW Play-By-Play Man?

I'm more scared that we've got Lawler all by himself for the next 20 or so minutes. Maybe it's time to mute...

I thought the red X over Steve Austin was pretty funny. It reminded me of when, back in ECW, Cyrus would walk down to the ring, and his graphic would have a red X over the ECW logo, and the TNN logo would be written above it.

All we need now is for the RAW opening to let us all now that Steve Austin does indeed have POP.

I believe they last used the Big Red X when Jake Robert's snake was biting Randy Savage's arm while he was tied up in the ring ropes.

They used The Big Red X in the late 80's when Cowboy Ron Bass brutalized Brutus Beefcake with his spurs.

You fools! Did you guys just skip out on Royal Rumble 2000? Mae Young and her boobs got the big X treatment.

In regards to the 70s WWWF big red X, it was used on tv when someone was either

1.Bleeding
2.Doing an illegal move
3.Doing the Iron Claw

Yeah, you know, the claw? That move were you squeeze the opponents head with your hand?

Everytime Mulligan or Von Raschke did it, up came the X.

I think it'd be funny if they kept Austin in the intro and then put a little thing at the bottom that says "No, this is GOLDBERG".
