I've just seen a commercial for the No Way Out PPV. This PPV is definetly geared towards a Latino audience. The commerical plays Mysterio's "Crossing Borders" and shows him and Gurrero dancing and driving in lowriders. It also says and heres the spoiler....

"Eddie Gurrero takes on Brock Lesnar and in his corner will be the charismatic Mexican boxer"...I didnt catch his name though. Some Mexican boxer will be in his corner, possible Prince? When I heard this I immediatly had flashbacks of Chuck Norris enforcing a Taker match at one PPV. Does WWE feel that Gurrero wont draw enough that he needs to have a boxer in his corner? And so far this PPV looks to revolve aorund Mysterio and Gurrero. Any thoughts on this?

Never ceases to amaze me that some people will go out of thier way to point out that somebody else already mentioned something, instead of just skipping over, or not replying.

No one mentioned about Eddie having a famous boxer in his corner. This is new EXCLUSIVE news brought to you by T.i.O! You should be thanking me. The point of this post and the thing that pisses me off is that Vince feels that Gurrero cant draw alone.

Got this from another site:

Advertised to appear in Guerrero's corner for the match is the "Clown Prince Of Boxing" Jorge Paez.

Never heard of the guy, although admittedly I'm not a big fan of boxing.

Well, looks like we'll have our excuse if there's a low buyrate, won't we?

Maybe it's geared to everybody who's cheered for Eddie since before the lWo?

Eddie wither wins the title via Goldberg inteference or loses because of Angle interference.

But what about Cena and his US title, unless he has to wait till Wrestlemania to win it. In a gimmick match...

No Way Out Card: My Guesses

WWE Championship
Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Eddie Guerrero

United States Championship
The Big Show (c) vs. John Cena

Kurt Angle vs. Goldberg???

Hardcore Holly vs. Matt Morgan

WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Rey Mysterio (c) vs. Chavo Guerrero

Billy Gunn vs. Rhyno

WWE Tag Team Championship
The Basham Brothers (c) vs. Rikishi and Scotty 2 Hotty

'Battle of the Mobs'
Tajiri's Yakuza vs. Nunzio's FBI???

Really not a lot of matches that can be booked. Without Benoit Smackdown is fcuked really. If Goldberg doesn't trade who will Angle face - A-Train. Also with Eddie challenging for the title that makes the mid-card stuck without Benoit/Guerrero to face guys like Holly, Rhyno, Train who couldn't challenge Angle believably. Also Billy Gunn needs a return match with a strong heel - Rhyno was all I could think.

...and that's the bottom line cos jk sed so

Calling Jorge Paez a "boxing legend" would be like saying "all-time great NFL QB Kordell Stewart." Paez had a nice heyday back in the early/mid '90s but has done NOTHING noteworthy of late except to get semi-implicated in the Bob Arum/Top Rank match fixing investigation.

(I say semi-implicated because I've never seen his name directly mentioned, but after Mosely/De La Hoya II was mentioned many boxing commetators indicated Paez fights in Mexico were the real target of the probe and that "everyone knows some Paez fights were suspicious.")

Jorge Paez is pretty popular in the Hispanic community in the US and Mexico. Not the greatest fighter but he's very entertaining and well liked.

Maybe WWE is hoping that he'll help Eddy Guerrero get some mainstream press and media appearances. If not, I doubt they're paying him much money and he is entertaining.

You know I think you have your Dino speak and Hulk speak mixed up. Umm...on second thought you might to far off but the Grimlock would have been "Me, Grimlock...KICK BUTT." or in this case "Me, Hunter...KICK BUTT."
