More details have become available concerning the heat between Kevin Nash and The Rock. Nash complained about being called "Big Daddy Bitch" by the Rock on RAW, first to Shane McMahon and then to Vince McMahon & The Rock himself.

There is an upspoken rule of sorts backstage among wrestlers to not use names against others that are not on the script. The Rock adlibbed the "Big Daddy Bitch" shot and Nash felt that it hurt his character since, in his opinion, the Nash character would not have simply stood there. Nash questioned where the adlibbing stops, and if the Rock can adlib shots at him, can he do things like rush the ring even though it isn't in the script?

There is some talk backstage though that the Rock may have used the unscripted shot as a way of getting back at possible shots Nash may have taken at the Rock during his WCW days.

A related incident happened years ago between Steve Austin and Jeff Jarrett. In an interview, Jarrett said that "Austin 3:16" is blasphemous. This angered Steve Austin who felt it would hurt his merchandise sales.

Kevin Nash has become very vocal backstage recently after staying somewhat quiet during his first few weeks in the WWF. The reason for this is thought to be because he isn't pleased with how he and the nWo angle is being booked.

He may not like being called one but he sure as hell can act like one. Maybe he should cry to Linda next.

When was the last time he did anything besides simply stand there when someone cuts a promo on him? He NEVER sells that he gives a shit about what someone says. That's his gimmick isn't it? I loved it when the NWO tried to ignore Austin's promo. I think Austin was really pissed off at them acting bored during his promo. Good thing twelve oz. cans buzzing your fat dome gets even a lazy fuck dancing like a Backstreet Boy. With all this going on it makes even more sense that Austin is upset these days.

Ok.... i know there has been an on going argument on these threads about what articles are being presented as truths. I am not going to express those. All i really noticed though is that there wasn't any official comment from the WWF, nash or the rock. Nothing about who might have heard these comments. So i am taking all of that with a grain of salt. There is nothing good going to come of Nash being petty over some name calling.

Nash took care of it in the ring @ Smackdown, shouting to The Rock, "Who's the bitch now??" during his period of laying smack.

I was at an indie show a few years back, and the original Evil Doink the Clown was there. As he was entertaining the crowd, he got visibly annoyed when a kid took the mike and announced "He is really Big Josh".

I thought it was a bit of an unfair comment by The Rock. For one Nash is on a much shorter leash and really isn't aloud to say or reply with those *shoot* types of comments. Second, I thought Nash was really getting across why the nWo hasn't been getting the job done as *poison*, but instead The Rock decided to make it comedy hour again. I have no doubt that Nash and Hall would be able to volly the insults right back at The Rock, if they also were aloud to adlib. Now this can't go on all night, but I do think Nash does have a point on this one.

If the nWo is going to get over as any kind of threat, they really need Shawn Michaels. He's never been afraid to *shoot* or take a low blow on big names during promos and the WWF usually lets him get away with it much like The Rock. That is of course if the WWF is at all serious about this angle.

I agree with BDL. Complain all you like that "Oh, so Nash wants to play by the rules" but if it's a rule, even an unspoken one, to not adlib names, then he has a legitimate beef.

Sure, Nash has broken just about every one of those rules in the past, but from all I understand he's been obeying everything this time around. As such, Rock should be kept in line. Putative measures don't have to be meted out, but it should be explained to Rock that it would be beneficial for all parties, including the Rock, that the NWO appear as a legitimate threat. Legitimate threats don't get called things like "Big Daddy Bitch" and take it in stride. Legitimate threats would get called that and do something about it.

As it is, however, I think it's much ado about nothing. He complained, and it seems to have been handled and is now over and done with.

Oh, for the love of god, who cares!?

The Rock called me Big Daddy Bitch on TV! Oh no! Like there's millions of fans around the world now going "boy, that Kevin Nash sure does suck, Rock called him a bitch" Who at that level has Rock NOT called a bitch? Maybe Hogan should complain about Nash calling him a son of a bitch, I mean that's pretty messed up.

Boy, I miss those days before the nWo, when I didn't have to hear about this crap all the time.

The issue isn't that Rock called him a bitch, the issue is that Rock called him a bitch and Nash wasn't allowed to fight back because it wasn't in the storyline to do so.

If however they want to get Nash over as a Monster (and it seems that they, at least in part, do), then they can't just have him sniveling everytime somebody calls him a name. His reactions have to make sense for a big pissed off guy. His reaction on Monday didn't.

Well, the simple fact is Rock does that to everyone. At some point or another, every top level guy in the federation has been ripped by the Rock and stood there, doing nothing about it. I don't see why it's such a big deal because it happened to Nash. I mean Hall did "hold him back" several times. And if they wanted to push him as a huge monster then he should probably be more upset that the show ended with he and Hall refusing to come back down to the ring and being counted out then being called "Big Daddy Bitch" by Rock. Granted, it's just my opinion. I didn't think twice about it until I read that Nash was bitching about it. No one beats Rock when it comes to the mic, I didn't see this as being anything different, Rock is always booked that way.

Yeah, I mean, Rock's called announcers hermaphrodites, so frankly, Big Daddy Bitch is quite tame.

Although I'm still waiting for the time when Kevin Kelly returns and just goes psycho with a foreign object against The Rock.

Seriously, though-- during Nash's promo, he went over as being so intense and pissed off that I don't think Rock's comment detracted too much from that. I will say this, though-- The Rock does seem like he tries to turn promos into “comedy hour” at inappropriate times.

This is funny... after all Nash has been accused of, holding people back, not giving a shit about working hard, yadda yadda yadda, now people want to have a pity party for him, because Rock called him a bitch on TV. If the story is even remotely true, Nash is only pissed because hes not the Big Dog anymore. In WCW he could do what he wanted, say what he wanted. And now he cant stand the thought of looking foolish on TV, dressed down by a bigger star than him. He has no right to complain, because Rock has done that shit to everybody. HHH, Stone Cold, Angle, Booker, and especially Big Show (some of those promos bordered on BRUTAL). Thats his character, Nash is no different. So sorry, I shed no tears for him. On the other hand, I never think Rocks humor is out of place, because thats his character, hes a smart ass, you act like a bitch, he will let you know.

I can understand Nash's beef if he feels like the NWO has been booked as a bunch of pu@#ys. But why pick The Rock to start heat with? Seeing how much money and mainstream attention Rocky brings in, I am sure he holds more power than almost anyone backstage. If I am Nash, knowing that all eyes are on me in the first place, I would pick Spike or someone to get heat with, not The Rock.

I think Nash is acting like a big bitch right now. So what Rock called you a bitch. He has called SCSA, Jericho, Kevin Kelly, Coach, HHH, Foley, and The Big Show alot worse. So get over it, Big Daddy Bitch. If you have a problem with booking, go to Steph.

Does Nash not realize that going and complaining he really _DOES_ come off looking like a little bitch? I mean, geez, it's entertainment. I can see if he went off and called him "Bid Daddy Bitch" behind the scenes, or something.. but he should feel lucky.. he's done worse to the Coach :)

Oh, boo-f'n-hoo that Nash gets called a bitch by The Rock. I don't hear about Hogan whining over The Rock's "half-inch testicles" promo, or any other wrestler who's taken a verbal thrashing from The Rock for that matter. I don't buy into the argument that The Rock ruined Nash's promo about being the poison. Nash was able to say his piece before The Rock offered the counterpoint. The face more times than not will and should get the last word in so that they can solidify the crowd's loyalties. I have no sympathy for Nash, as I'm sure many wrestlers languishing in the midcard would be willing to be called a bitch or much worse in a storyline if it meant having the spotlight in a main event feud. Maybe the shoe does fit for Nash. Who would've thought that a 7'0", 350 pound man would be so sensitive and have such a fragile ego?

Amen, BigDaddy.

What Rock said to Nash was enough of a low blow. It came off sounding nasty in a stupid/slimy kind of way. I'm sure Rock thought he was being cool; I thought he was being an ass. And I'll bet money that Hogan, standing there like Rock's little brother (!), was more than a little embarassed. And possibly even as pissed as Nash.

But maybe what made Nash go off was that Rock messed up the whole segment by butting in? That the "bitch" shot was totally out of context given the circumstances?

The confrontation was between Hall/Nash and Hogan. Nash was cutting a great promo before he was interrupted. That makes the "bitch" ad lib sting a little more.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think Nash was right to complain.

We are all missing the point here. The WWF did not say anything happened, thus the above story is merely contrived by "sources" who live in Keller's head and have their own agenda.

Ironically, we haven't heard a word from Hall regarding Rock busting out the "Chico" line in the same segment...

Q: If you could have interviewed Marvin Gaye, where would you have proposed to meet and what would you have asked him?

A: I would have met anywhere as long as it was before his father shot him. I would have asked him, "Hey, don't you think there's some chance that your father might shoot you? To death, I mean?"

I would have to agree that it was kind of out of line. You can just tell when something is surprising and out of script. To go out of script with a comment like that, to me, just seems like a big unwritten taboo. Look at it this way- would it be ok for Nash to now go and say the same thing to or about the Rock on Monday? It would be funny as hell, but we can't have everyone going around calling eachother bitch, can we? So Rock probably shouldn't have started it.

In their Smackdown! match, Nash kept shouting "who's a bitch now?" while he was hitting the corner elbows (which looked shockingly emphatic). I seriously think Nash was working really hard trying to show up the Rock- which he's not really capable of....but bless 'im for tryin'.

I think the Rock did a bang-up job when he emasculated Big Daddy Bitch verbally! It was a beautiful thing. First, it's completely within Rock's character to do this. He's a dick, and he'll say things that make you think "What an asspipe!" For Nash to get pissy about this (which I don't really buy since he's probably on thinner ice with Vince than Hall!) is just firkin' silly! Besides, if the Rock can ad-lib that line, Nash could have just as easily ad-libbed him rushing to the ring and being held back by Hall! This just seems to me like another paper-thin reason to bitch about the Rock.

I can't believe you guys. Let's look at the Context here. Hogan and Rock are having a lovefest in the ring, NWO comes in to rain on the parade. Nash calls Hogan a Bitch, Rocky sticks up for Hogan and calls Nash a Big Daddy Bitch. So Nash gets pissed? WTF? You guys are defending him? WTF?

Rock is going to go off on anyone, from Crash to VKM, himself. That is what makes him who he is. He called him Big Daddy Bitch, so f'n what. This is a power play and Nash is going to find out that he doesn't have the power he used to have.

I can believe Nash going to management because he wants to test his juice. But I cannot believe anyone would defend this. Well why doesn't Nash go to WWA where he can have total creative control.
