Actually that ad was one of least misogynistic. I was pretty surprised that they basically went with "I struggled with a hard decision, but I think I made the right choice". | drjayphd

...which was probably the only way they could go, realistically. Focus on the Family's reputation probably had more to do with the sturm und drang preceding the ad. (Hell, my girlfriend thought it was a beer ad before seeing the tagline. Not what you'd expect from the anti-abortion crowd, given their reputation... but that's another episode.)

This commercial was so benign that it seems pretty meaningless. | TheOldMan

I thought it was more like Nike's first ad for Tiger - "Hello World" - a way of introducing Tebow to the country as a spokesman for this issue. If you didn't know what the supposed message was going in, you weren't going to get it from that ad. Or maybe it was just a shoutout to their base, in a "look how big and important we are, to have a spot on the big show" manner?
Me, I liked the Google ad. I'm still trying to decide if the commercials are getting worse, or it's just that the last couple of games have been better to the point where I'm mentally tuning out the sponsors.

The Tebow ad was heavily edited from the original submission.
Also, did NOW complain about the violence against Betty White?
