I know this has probably been done before but it is an argument that me and my mates have all the time. What is the best finisher ever in the WWE/WWF? All my mates say the stunner but I am leaning towards the Tombstone.

Ideas Please

Despite all that's been said about the performer of the move, I'd say the Pedigree has withstood the test of time in terms of effectiveness. We can hate Trips all we want, but in terms of kayfabe, you know that the guy's not gonna get up after taking one Pedigree.

The Sweet Chin Music is another good example of a fast and effective finisher.

Yeah. Another contender for the worst has to be the Hogan leg drop.

I like the shinning wizard. Great Muta uses it and it just cool. (hurricane uses it now) Dimond Cutter I think is one of the best becuase when he first did the move it came from no where and just knock you out. Don't care for the RKO because it looks like the lazy verison of the Diamond Cutter. The worst the Stink face is all that comes to mind. Here is what I think the funniest is The Garven Stomp use by Ronney Garven.

I was always fond of the Michinoku Driver/Juvi Driver/whatever Vampiro called it.

But the best (the one that was the ever-livin' end, the there's-no-way-he's-getting-up-from-that move) was the Vadersault. Astonishing to behold.

Vampiro's version was called the 'Nail in the Coffin'.

For tag teams, the LOD Doomsday Device was always my favorite finisher. Demolition's tag finisher is a close second though.

For singles, the Macho Man elbow drop is the most visually arresting. For pure impact I go with the Razor's Edge.

Damn you WWE for making me change my sig. I'm sure you have good enough reasons to get rid of Shannon, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. Let me thus be the first to say: BRING BACK DAFFNEY!

Growing up, I totally fell in love with the Hart Attack. Best finisher ever!

For singles, though, I loved the Sharpshooter. Bret Hart's, to be precise, because once he locked it on...you weren't getting out.

I think that the Shooting Star Press has got to be one of the most visually inspiring moves ever.

Anyone know the show that Lesnar did the SSP on?

I think Victoria's finisher look's the most painful...The SSP is just graceful......But the Stunner and Sweet Chin Music are sooooooooooo over.

I know it's not WWE, but Dr. Hersy's Nipple Twist finisher was on par with a Stink-face or the Worm. Shark Boy's assbite was kinda odd too.

I will go with one not used in years: The Double Arm Flying Chicken Wing that Rick Steamboat used at Clash VI against Ric Flair, forcing Ric Flair to submit in a World Title match on national television in an era where Ric Flair did not submit.

I liked Hurricane's Vertebreaker (til it was banned). As much as I hate Trips, I'll give the pedigree some props. Also, the Widow's Peak by Victoria is nice.

A great finisher has to be quick and effective, something that can be hit out of nowhere. Pedigree, Sweet Chin Music, Rock Bottom and the Crippler Crossface come to mind.

For painful submissions, the Lasso from El Passo, Haas of Pain and the Brock Lock all look like they could just snap your leg off.

The prettiest move is the Shooting Star Press. It's just graceful, yet deadly. And it proved that Brock Lesnar has an unbreakable skull. God, that hurt to watch.

My first post... so anyone can ignore my opinions... But I had a few favorite Finishers.

The Kryptonite Krunch by Nova from ECW, I know a lot of other people have used it, but it was interesting, and it looked like it could lead to a concussion.

Also Albert's first finisher, the Gorilla Press into a sit-out power bomb, it looked so damned nasty, too bad he doesn't use it all that much now.

And Kanyon had variation of his Flatliner, the one where he had them sitting on his shoulders, and then kinda powerbombed them face forward.

Those were are my favorites overall, they looked impressive, and were the end of the match. Plus you don't see them too often.

I will take Booker T's Hangover move over SSP, mostly because the SSP is mentioned a lot.

As for submission, yeah Bret Hart's Sharpshooter will stick with me.

Best:
1) Stone Cold Stunner. Quick and lethal....unless it's the Rock overselling it, as usual. Gotta sell it right.
2) I love the Jackhammer, especially when it's a huge guy taking it.
3) That Brock Lock looks incredibly painful.
4) The Snowplow. A cross between the Jackhammer and a Brain Buster.
5) For some reason, I loved Perry Saturn's Death Valley Driver. Very fluid, unlike that lame-assed FU that Cena does.

Worst:
1) The Worm. Utterly retarded.
2) Booker's Scissors Kick. Yeah, the opponent doesn't look like he's bent over, waiting 2 minutes for him to do it. Same thing goes for the Fame-asser.
3) People's Elbow.
4) Derailer. Looks like it hurt A-Train's knees more than the opponent's back.
5) The FU. Not even the Big Show taking it makes it look impressive.
