Maybe someday this will extend towards remakes of classic games as well; can you imagine a dead-on remake of the original "Legend of Zelda" with Miyamoto providing commentary on his level designs and such?

| #4 Posted on 3.7.03 1314.08 | Satan's Hollow? Isn't that the awesome crossbow game?
Oh man!
That would be so worth it just for SmashTV and Paperboy.
If only they will release a handlebars controller and a crossbow controller with it...

The problem with Paperboy is getting the controls correct, which (IMHO) no home implementation has come close to yet. The standup's handlebars are rather idiosyncratic.
Oddly, all but three of these games (Rampart, Satan's Hollow and Vindicators) are _already_ available for the PS2, through the wonders of PS1 compatibility. (Five were on Williams Arcade Classics. Four were on Arcade's Greatest Hits: Midway Collection #2. All six Arcade Party Pak games are represented. Four were on Arcade's Greatest Hits: Atari Collection #2.) Defender, Moon Patrol, Root Beer Tapper, Burgertime, Millipede and Crystal Castles somehow didn't make the cut here...

I'll take it. How Much? Fifty? There ya go.
"Beware, I live!!!"
Sinistar, folks.
Oh yeah -- Defender 2, Joust, Rampart, and Paperboy are OK too.

Illegal? I'm talking about playing these games on shockwave type sites. I don't think that's illegal is it? Cuz they would be facing serious legal issues, wouldn't they? | Shem the Penman

| #11 Posted on 9.7.03 0735.51 | I can't imagine trying to play Crystal Castles or Millipede without a trackball, so i'm not surprised they weren't converted -- although if Marble Madness is on the compilation, it seems like they think they can provide trackball-type control with a PS2 controller. Have to wait and see, I guess. But I'd buy this just for Rampage, Sinistar, and Spy Hunter, all of which ate many, many quarters from me back in the day.

| #12 Posted on 9.7.03 0754.48 | Instant Rating: 0.00 | Nyko did make a trackball for the PS1, which should be compatible. (Granted, it's a rare item these days, like the original Dual Analog Joystick I used to like so much.)
If Spy Hunter supports an analog steering wheel w/pedals, they'll have my attention. Don't look at me like I'm crazy, because previous ports haven't!
