I did check out Cerebus' thread http://the-w.com/thread.php/id=28280 which was very helpful, but I'm also looking for some individual attention. Below is a post I made on another comic book board, but I'd like to get The W's take:
I've had a pretty insane year. Two moves, full-time work, full-time school plus my wife and I had a kid. Luckily, I have been subscribed through g-mart, so my pull list continued to come to me on a monthly basis. Here's the thing. I haven't read a comic in about 14 months. I was wondering if you could take a look at my pull list (notice all the inactive titles) and let me know what I've missed in the last year.
Also, the list below should give you a flavor of what I like, so perhaps you guys could recommend some books that have come out that I need to be reading, or maybe bad books that have gotten a new team on them and have become good books. I know it's a lot to ask, but I need help getting back into the swing of things!
Thanks in advance,
Comic Books Dark Horse Comics Conan ($2.99, monthly) The Goon ($2.99, bimonthly)
DC Comics (Batman) Gotham Central ($2.50, monthly) Superman / Batman ($2.99, monthly)
Marvel Comics (Heroes) (inactive) Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes ($3.50, 8-issue miniseries) (inactive) House of M ($2.99, 8-issue miniseries) New Avengers ($2.50, monthly) Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe ($3.99, monthly) Runaways ($2.99, monthly) (inactive) Secret War ($3.99, 5-issue quarterly miniseries)
This is a shocker. I hadn't heard he was sick and didn't think he was that old. I was a huge fan of his books back in high school. The first one I read was Jurassic Park, which I got for Christmas the year it came out in paperback.
