That post would've been more useful with a link and some sort of sentiment about if the article was worth reading or not (it is).

Any article with love for Spider-Man 2 AND Hulk: Ultimate Destruction is an automatic thumbs up.

Reached the end of the game today. Very nice twist that I don't dare spoil, not even with spoiler tags.

I think he was reaching for things to complain about. Which shows how good the game is; it's hard to find flaws. (A little more Catwoman, for example; I haven't seen her since she went after Poison Ivy. Or do I have to go rescue her again? I don't distinctly remember where Ivy's hideout is.)

I'm Charlie Owens, good night, and good luck.

You'll come to Catwoman again at some point; Batman can't get to Ivy's lair at all, which kinda sucks but whatever.

Looking at the game today, the old man in me was sad at some of the character designs, including Suicide Girl Harley Quinn. (Of course, she has an even worse new look in the DC reheat)

Sorry for not posting a link earlier, Cubs. I was reading on my phone and didn't have the time to cnp.

Thank you for not, because it would have been difficult for me to avoid letting my curiosity win out over getting there myself. I finished off Freeze (that was a fun boss although I still enjoyed the Ghul fight more), and finally finished off that damn Zsazz side mission. Time for Joker next.

Oh, and because of not wanting to be spoiled, I'm not going to read that article, even if it doesn't spoil anything. I did love Spiderman 2 the game though.

It took me days... DAYS to finally finish off

Clayface.

I did not really like the whole end run though, after Hugo Strange. It felt too much like Metal Gear with all the different twists coming outta nowhere. As with TV shows and films, you don't need conspiracies or 'wot-a-twist' moments in everything.

There were hints all over the place as to who the main bad guy was. It wasn't really a surprise if you know the character's history. Batman was a total dick through the majority of the game. Finally, at the end, did he act more like the Batman we know.

The set-up for a third game is intriguing. I only hope it will be a more linear story with less twists and more side quests. I want a bigger sandbox too. Take him to Coast City and Metropolis, let him interact with non-Batman heroes. Maybe do a Brave and the Bold storyline with him needing help from Green Lantern, The Flash, Wonder Woman and others.

I would have been more surprised at the final boss had you not spoiled it, but it did only take me a couple deaths to pull it off. I remember my cartoons!

I agree with you on the last bit of reveals and really the last section of the plot. The story didn't seem to make much sense as they were telling it, and even the characters couldn't really explain it. Really...

people were acting strangely the last fifth of the game. I don't know why Talia showed up to recruit Joker, and I don't know why Batman was more worried about Talia being attacked by the Joker when it's just as likely she'll knife him (and she did!) then the hundreds of people who are dying around him. That seemed wildly out of character.

Plus, there were a lot of people meeting very final deaths: all those (invisible?) prisoners - Batman's usually stopping the villain before he starts slaughtering people, that's sort of story he does - and all the main villains. It felt like the Last Ever Batman story in that way.

Today's the first Calendar Man deal...and appears he just tells you a story? That's less interesting than I had hoped. Kind of hoping it was mission of some sort, seems a bit of waste this way.

From what I understand, there is some Calender Man content today related to Hallowe'en.

As I'm running around town trying to grab trophies, I really like some of the gameplay touches.

The interrogate a criminal to get trophy/riddle locations system is really smart. If someone wants to know where all the trophies are, they're going to be able to look it up online within a week (or less) fairly easily. You might as well make it part of the game play. They're giving you half the info, but you still have to/get to figure out how to get that trophy or riddle to work yourself.

(Even though trying to beat up a gang to get clues is my leading cause of death.)

Is it me, or do fights get harder as things move along? For the first part of the game, I didn't get touched. Around the time thugs got shields, I've noticed I'm getting hit more, the counter button doesn't seem to work, little things.

And after finishing the main story, I stand by my statement of Freeze being the best boss in the game. Damn shame the Catwoman/Two-Face matchup after that STUNK.

I'm Charlie Owens, good night, and good luck.

Anyone played this yet? I was thinking about picking it up (I really enjoyed the few hours I played of Disgaea), but money being a bit tight, I was wondering if it was REALLY worth it...
