I am actually the opposite. If Batista does switch to Smackdown I will consider not watching any WWE. For continuity more than anything HHH needs to be beaten by Batista, otherwise not only will I feel cheated , so will a lot of other people who are waiting for the day it happens.

It's funny, because this is probably why most people are getting behind Batista. Not because he's a good wrestler (he's okay) or good at promos (he never cuts them in the ring without HHH jumping in), but because we all want to mark out when he beats HHH. I hope what ever they do with him that he doesn't get booked like crap which can happen, usually does, in the WWE.

Not the other way around. Then his face push came out of nowhere from that. Not a way to garner sympathy for the new top face. His face turn has been pushed down our throats. The E has been shoving Orton at us saying "Look, here's the new top guy. Love and cheer him" for months now, and fans can see right through that.
Batista has been slowly getting sick and tired of HHH, and hasn't had a problem letting it show. He's been smart and has been "playing the game" as it were, one upping HHH at every turn. If they wanted Orton to turn, this is exactly how they should've done it. But they blew their load all at once and failed miserably, but somehow miraculously stumbled upon the winning formula with Batista.
With Batista, it's been the slow build. Fans have slowly come around to him. It's sort of an underground support type thing with him.....more organic. People can tell that THEY are the reason he's getting the push he's now getting. Like The E always says (but rarely actually follow), they've listened to the fans for the Batista turn. We can tell that WE are having something to do with the reason this storyline is happening, and that makes us feel more involved with it, and thus more interested.
We all want to see Batista turn on HHH and kick his ass. That's the storyline the fans have written for Batista. That's the reason Batista is so much more over than Orton is. It's the manufactured push versus the organic push. If they move him to Smackdown, they are denying us the exact reason we began cheering him in the first place - because he's the guy who can and will finally beat HHH.

Basically, HHH doesn't want to get on Batista's bad side, because he realizes that one wrong move and the bomb could go off. They didn't do this with Randy Orton. They never made it look like HHH was envious or intimidated by Orton's success which could've helped that storyline.
