I just got back from my trek from the all powerful wal-mart, and was able to retrieve a real prize DVD, the orginal Batman movie. I know its cheesy, but the commentary with Adam West is hilarious. It got me to thinking, what are some other good DVDs you have picked up new for 10 bucks or under, here are my prize finds. 1) Kingpin 2) Spaceballs 3) UHF 4) Batman (old movie) 5) Suicide Kings
I bought The Great Escape for 10 bucks as well, but I ordinarily won't go in for most bargain DVDs if it's a movie I really like. Because I know — I just know — that soon a two-disc remastered letterboxed version of that same movie will eventually be released, and I'll be kicking myself for having a glorified VHS copy.
I also got the original Batman movie for under $10 ($7.99, in fact) at Toys R Us while I was shopping for a birthday gift for my nephew last fall. It's ridiculous how psyched I was about this find; it's one of my favorite movies of all time!
