A friend of mine really likes Nic Cage, so I decided to see this movie with her. This was a mistake. The action scenes were okay I guess, but the setup for said scenes were usually just silly.
Nic's hitman character gets into a relationship with a deaf woman. Seriously. The entire final third of the movie is just ludicrous, with a climax that feels so phony.
I can see why they didn't screen this movie for critics. Recommendation to avoid.

I thought Scheider did his best work in All that Jazz, which I feel is the best of the modern musicals Post 50s and early 60s). The rather funky scene moving as well as the hip style always captivated me and Scheider was great as Fosse
