quick question for anyone who's ever played the series. Everyone knows about the expansion Throne of Bhaal. I've come across another online expansion for BG II, called "Darkest Day." Has anyone played this? Is it worth downloading?

It's interesting. I haven't looked whatever version of TDD they currently have out, but I know that the version I have is NOT compatible with Throne of Bhaal (in other words, uninstall Throne and BGII and then reinstall BGII with all the appropriate patches or the game will crash every time you attempt to load it.) I enjoyed it, although it does require starting a new game in order to get the best results and there are some parts that are insanely difficult if you don't have the right party construction. Personally, unless I had a broadband connection, I would think long and hard about downloading it. Just my thoughts.

One of the other causes, is that the gear itself, only being plastic, will tend to wear down, and not work correctly anymore. When you hear a clicking noise before getting the DRE, that is what the cause is.
