Goldberg has either signed with WWE, or is extremely close to signing. He could also debut on RAW tomorrow, but nothing is confirmed at this point. Goldberg's role at WrestleMania is key, as he has been rumored to face the Rock, Steve Austin, and Triple H at one time or another, and who he faces will clear up many of the other top matches.

I had my hopes set for Rock/Austin and HHH/Booker T at WM, but the WWE has to bring in another workrate deficient "big name" who will be out in two months. Unless Austin takes on Goldberg on the RAW side, leaving Rock/Benoit II (fat chance) on the SD side, this is going to suck.
I'll try to look at the positive side here. If 'Your Next' has signed, it means we no longer will have to hear reports about how close he is to signing with the company. Plus, it'll be much like when Dingbat Warrior showed up in WCW in '98, painful but brief, and hopefully never to occur again. Plus, if he faces Catchphrase, it won't matter to me because I already flip the channel when he's on. Thus, two birds with one stone.

:-P 'one warrior nation' was such great cheesey fun!
Good golly, I couldn't imagine *Crash Holly* jobbing to Goldberg considering how Vince treats newcomers from other Feds. Look at Booker T, Steiner, RVD, etc.

Booker T main-evented his first two WWE PPVs, and in his debut run in beat up Austin in the main event. So he was involved in the main event of 3 PPVs. Steiner got his own segment at SurSer, and immediately went for the Raw title 2 months in a row. RVD came in, won the Hardcore title, beat guys like Angle, and main evented a PPV 4 months into his career with Angle and Austin, and both RVD and Booker T were in the main event of SurSer that year. Booker has won the tag titles numerous times in the WWE, and is "main-eventing" so to speak this years Wrestlemania. RVD is in a tag-team with Kane, and while he isn't as high as he was before, its not low... also he has beaten EVERYONE in the WWE pretty much (even Taker and HHH) and had a huge run with the Hardcore and IC belt, hell he made the Hardcore title mean something. Plus, he unified the IC title with the Euro and Hardcore titles. Boy, Vince sure treats newcomers badly doesn't he! That Benoit guy who came to the WWE from WCW and main evented Fully Loaded half a year later sure was held down. And Jericho.... geez was he held down, I mean he has had every title. And Eddie.... whew I'd hate to be him. He leaves due to his own personal demons and immediately returns to an IC reign and helped jump start the Smackdown Tag division. And speaking of other companies' stars, Vince buried ECW's Dudlyz so much that he had them be the focus of the tag division for almost a whole year. Vince really does hate other companies talent, doesn't he!!

Scott, how many times has Booker T won the WWE Championship or the World Heavyweight Championship? Don't count WCW.
How many times has Chris Benoit won the WWE Championship or the World Heavyweight Championship? Don't count WCW.
How many times has Scott Steiner won the WWE Championship or World Heavyweight Championship? Don't count WCW.
How many times has Rob Van Dam won the WWE Championship or the World Heavyweight Championship?
How many times has Chris Jericho won the WWE Championship or the World Heavyweight Championship, and NOT been made to look like someone who has to cheat to beat, say, Maven? Don't count...never mind.
Now then. There's (I think) the top 5 guys brought in from other companies. Now, using talent developed solely from WWE (goodbye Austin, HHH and Taker), let's do the same thing.
How many times has Hulk Hogan won the WWE Championship or World Heavyweight Championship? Don't count WCW.
How many times has The Rock won the WWE Championship or World Heavyweight Championship?
How many times has Shawn Michaels won the WWE Championship or World Heavyweight Championship?
How many times has Kurt Angle won the WWE Championship or World Heavyweight Championship?
How many times has Brock Lesnar won the WWE Championship or the World Heavyweight Championship?
Guys solely from WWE: 20-25 Guys from WCW/ECW: 2

To be fair, Foley should be included as ECW/WCW talent, as he main evented semi-consistently for those companies before he showed up in the WWF/E, while Trip and Taker were lower card in WCW and Austin never went past mid/upper-mid card.
Ole Anderson booking is a weapon of self inflicted mass destruction.

I'd been wondering how you can not love the stuff Rocky's been doing of late. Ah, you don't watch it, that would explain it.

Jericho's a mulitple IC title winner. former tag-team champion, and the first ever Undisputed Champion after going over the Rock AND Stone Cold in one night. Also probably one of the first in line to face Booker if and when he beats Trips.
Booker T's had at least 2 tag titles and is about to main event WM.
Benoit may never have won the big one, but has been made to look a million dollars of late and also had several IC title reigns.
RVD cant cut a promo or sell an injury to save himself. With a bit of work, hes a future champ, but right now he's exactly where he deserves to be.
And most importantly, How many times would you want Scott Steiner to be WWE or World Heavyweight champion?!

To return to the original topic, what if they finally bring in Goldberg? What would they have him do? Most of the top guys already have matches set or hinted at that I'd hate to see broken up. Rock v Austin, Angle v Lesnar, Booker v HHH, HBK v Y2J, and RVD v Kane all look likely at this point, and I'm looking forward to all of them and I don't like the idea of Goldberg horning in on any of them.
But wait, I take that back! What if you have Jeff go back to his heel turn, turn on HBK and challenge him to a ladder match at WM, and have the HBK/Y2J match delayed till Backlash, and give Goldberg to Jericho!
Come on, Jericho finally gets a shot at Goldberg years later would be a great storyline!
Just a thought...
On the other hand, I guess Steiner doesn't have a fued in place for WM, and that would confine the suck to one match.

Chyna is a multiple-time IC title winner. Also, Jericho only defeated Rock and Austin with help.

As I recall, Booker's only had one tag title reign, and Lesnar-Angle is the scheduled main event at WrestleMania.

Again, Chyna has had several IC title reigns. Also, hasn't the current WWE Champion beaten this guy (cleanly, I might add) on two consecutive occasions?

His voice is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. Thus, I save 15 minutes of excruciating pain by flipping the channel.

Booker has been tag champion with Test and Goldust. WM is probably going to be a quadruple main event(SCSA/Rock, Hogan/Vince, Booker/HHH, and Angle/Lesnar). He's being put in the highest profile match available to him.
Sure Chyna was IC champion briefly but that doesnt mean Jericho and Benoit's reigns meant nothing. Vince has been WWE champion, and if you subscribe to the 'Heavyweight belt is WCW belt' theory then David Arquette held that.
Of course Jericho cheats to win, he's a heel. Look at HHH's run. His only 'clean' defense was against HBK.
Benoit has lost clean to Angle but been made to look a genuine threat in the process. Again however, his poor mic works probably going to prevent any lengthy title reign.
HHH's promos are still a fair bit more engaging than RVD's and he gets good heat during them particularly of late. Unfortunately there was a long period there where they dragged them out for far too long.
And since when did HHH have to sell injuries. He's got enough bona fide, genuine ones to keep him going for a good while.

Good point, but for your guys from WCW/ECW, the World title reigns should really be 4, shouldn't it be? Booker T with the World (WCW) Championship from Angle, Jericho won the WCW title from Rock, and again that and the WWF title at Armageddon. Also, I would argue the WCW/ECW guys rule the Midcard more than the solo WWE guys, espically on Smackdown. More so then RAW. Also, compare the amount of time your top 5 from other companies has been in the WWE compared to the top 5 WWE guys (Excluding Angle and Brock).

Okay, I don't want no Triple H on my TV every week. But if you think he can't cut a promo or sell an injury, I think your need to hate him has gone overboard. He does both of these things well, in fact, lately, these are the only things he does well. And he does them ten thousand times better than RVD.

Jericho is the first ever undisputed champion. The blame for the fact that he was utterly unconvincing in this role can be put on one man- Chris Jericho. He blew it. Talk about Steph and HHH and the dog all you want, but Jericho was/is simply not believable in such a position. And cheating to win is classic, normal heel tactics. Why was it so wrong when Jericho did it?
