AW won't be earning #MillionsofDollars. (wwe.com)

His post-release Twitter promo:

So, wonder who's next: Tensai for his racist Tout (The W) or your boy JTG for complaining? (The W)

Jesus, if you'd kept your mouth shut they'd have rehired you in under six months. Now you're most likely out for good.

He should use the name "Kobe Colorado" on the indies.

Just curious, now that Johnny Ace has had most of his power taken away, who now makes those future endeavors calls?

Yeah, those are some freshly burned bridges. I don't think he'll be coming back.

I was totally wrong on the Prime Time Playaz, who have more than enough charisma to hang on their own. They don't need this clown.

My only question is, why did they even bother to trot him out again last Monday?

This has nothing to do with Big Zeke and his lack of cuts.

Good riddance. The guy sucked horse balls as a talk show host and he still sucked horse balls as a manager. He was annoying to listen to in every promo and I never saw him contribute any thing worthwhile as far as wrestling goes. He's probably one of the most useless WWE personalities I have ever witnessed. And while I think the backlash to the dated Kobe joke may have been overblown, he was the one stupid enough to use it when he had a open mic and his twitter bitching isn't helping his case any.

And nothing of value was lost.

No doubt TNA will hire him to be part of their next line of WWE castoffs, though.

Seems like the deal with AW was more the tweet about "where's Rosa" than the first joke. Forget him though, just replace him with Byron Saxton (not racist). The real travesty is that Sofia "Ivelisse" Cortez was cut.

And he is not wrong about anything he said. Its just those people were either the head of the company or had enough clout not to get in too much trouble.

Since everything is probably seen thru the Linda prism, one poor joke on live TV is less problematic than bringing up a Diva who was a domestic violence victim.

AW made his own news by including a "Kobe Bryant in a Colorado hotel" reference in his ringside mic'd remarks - it was seen as bad enough that Cole issued an official WWE apology™ in the next segment.

Armando.... Alejandro... Estrada.

How truly awesome he could have been.

I'm split on the whole AW thing after my initial (and usual) knee-jerk reaction.

First and foremost, I was "that guy" in my younger years. I always prided myself in being a person who wasn't afraid to say what other people were afraid to say. I found that, though, tactfulness goes a hell of a long way.

While AW was playing a part that should have been more micro-managed, no one should chide him for trying to get the WWE more attention. 15 years ago, you would have seen the headlines about AW all over RAW a million times. Kind of like when Vader punched that reporter in Kuwait.

At any rate, times have changed and AW should have realized this. He could've probably gotten away with a lot more had he been CM Punk (who has told fans on Twitter to kill themselves) or John Cena (who was reprimanded after GLAAD had a problem with his homophobic epithets) or any other examples that AW, himself, has brought to the table.

He's severely burning his bridges with WWE, too, even if the dirt sheets are correct about Vince respecting people that he "bullies."

In the interest of fairness, AW should have stopped with the #VoteLindaOrDie crap on Twitter and shouldn't have made the "Where's Rosa?" passage either. The Mother Teresa line was probably the tip of the iceberg.

We also don't know the whole story about this. AW could have been another "that guy", too, in the sense that he might have acted this way backstage or might have bugged the crap out of the higher-ups after he got in trouble for the Kobe line.

Then again, guys like Randy Orton who get got with the wellness policy numerous times somehow get a push.

It's obviously really unfair what goes on at WWE and probably half the stuff that goes on there wouldn't happen for more than 5 seconds at a regular, large company. It's sad to see AW go for this whole thing but the way he's acting is just unprofessional. Say your piece and move on, you can't harp on about this for 90 days - or he'll be seen as a liability.

I've seen people get fired and go on their Twitter accounts or Glassdoor.com and bash companies. That's all fine and good but remember, you've gotta apply to work somewhere else. Stuff follows you around, especially on the Internet. It's a little different for AW, sure, especially since TNA doesn't have many scruples, but still.. God Bless folks who get on TV - they don't have to really, truly suffer any actual consequences like the rest of us schlepp rocks.

It really is a shame that a huge draw, such as AW and his wannabe And-1 Mix-tape Announcer schtick, got fired from a publicly traded company for making a joke about rape. On live television. On a show that is geared more for CeNation than Attitude. During the political campaign (no matter how ill-conceived you might believe it to be) of the owner. I don't know how Vince and company will replace his level of talent and worth. Just a tremendous blow and the introduction to the death knell for Free Speech.

Funny, my first reaction was "heh, they probably just needed a reason to get rid of his sorry ass."
I actually feel that AW's "managerial talent" holds back the characters that Titus & Darren were starting to develop.
His introductions weren't that great and his comments during the match weren't really up there either.

We'll see what happens next. I hope they don't cut the feet out from under the tag team itself.

Armando..iirc he was released a few weeks ago, after being on the payroll but not used for about a year. WTF.

Don't be facetious. I wasn't saying it like that and I apologize if it came off that way. During a political campaign, wouldn't your foes just be as likely to question your judgement in keeping around someone who fails wellness tests just as much as keeping around someone who jokes about rape?

I'm not questioning the conception of Linda's political campaign (although running even as a RINO in Connecticut is probably a poor idea), I do see double standards here and there, now and then. Linda sure distances herself a lot from WWE and then they go and let someone go who could be politically liable to them (when they keep others who are also political liabilities). Hell, having a pro wrestling company is probably a political liability, `specially if you're on the wrong side of the political fence in Kennedy-land.

I'm not saying I'm a huge AW fan or jumping on his bandwagon, either. I just really wonder what would have happened if, say, Vickie Guerrero had said this.

That's interesting cfgb. I've known WWE to humiliate the wrestler himself (for instance, I've thought that Mark Henry's sex addict gimmick was WWE's way of humiliating him in order to quit)
