I'm looking for a program that edits .avi's and other common video file types. It seems there are more programs that dont edit .avi's than there are that do unless I'm not looking hard enough, and I dont know much about the companies that make the programs I've found that do.

Any reccomendations will be greatly appreciated!

We just got Hughes Net at the house and they cap your daily use. The installer said there was a program on usenet that you could download that would download your selected files during "free time", which is 2am-7am.
