I'd heard this book was actually going to be more fun than the flagship Avengers vs. X-Men book itself, and it sure was. Totally entertaining superhero smackdown. Just fighting between Avengers and X-Men, apparently formatted for two fights per issue, but with better art than AvX, clever tactics, intriguing match ups, and wink wink comedy. The best part are Fun Facts scattered throughout, doling out both interesting factoids about each heroes powers and actually funny jokes.
Issue #1 is Iron Man (Avengers) vs. Magneto (X-Men) then Namor (X-Men) vs. The Thing (Avengers). And there are actual winners and losers in the fight.

If they're throwing in Pop Up Video-style fun facts throughout each issue, then maybe it's not the throwaway junk I was expecting. I'd totally buy this in trade.
