I don't want to take us down the path of a thread that's been done 100 times, but I think that Disturbed version is one of the top 3 entrance songs of all time. (I don't have another 2 in mind, but I don't want to say it's the best ever without fully thinking it through). The quality of that song and the cool opening trac about HHH made me forget the many moral problems with buying a CD marketed at young men and titled "Forceable Entry." | Chico Santana

| #4 Posted on 25.6.03 0018.06 | Add me on to the group that thought the Disturbed version rocked. I think though that WWE wants to stick to the more recognizable instrumental theme. That was probably the only other "remix" of the original song that was over. Though I liked the slower heel version that Austin used only once or twice during the Invasion.

I liked both versions Austin used as part of the Alliance, but the slow one did rock.

Ah, there's another one I forgot. I loved that one and didn't they even shoot a video for it? Austin didn't use that one at all! And btw, i'm talking about the original H-BlocX version on the Vol. 5 theme album. The one on Anthology is NOT H-BlocX. I really liked that song.

that'd be cool (but maybe annoying after awhile) too if they added "WHAT?" after each line of that chorus.

It seems to me that they are moving away from music done by real artists, except in certain cases. Austin's back to his old school theme, Undertaker ditched Limp Bizkit (even though, as was said ad nauseum during WM XIX, they are WWE's favorite band), Jericho used his Saliva tune but once before they went back to his old theme. The only holdovers seem to be Triple H (Motorhead) and Matt Hardy (Monster Magnet). Triple H's theme remains the same for obvious reasons (It fits him so well and has become synonymous with him). Matt Hardy, I don't know. Maybe they can't think of anything they believe is better.
Another theory is that they just don't want anyone to remember Austin turned heel in the first place. Other than "What?" they have ditched anything related to his heeldom.
Edit~I forgot about Trish's crap ass Li'l Kim song and that Tatu explotative nonsense that Victoria uses.

| #15 Posted on 25.6.03 1944.43 | I haven't seen Smackdown! in months, but does Benoit still use the Our Lady Peace theme?
Also, I think the H-Blox song came out while Austin was out.
Plus, they've been sticking with the idea of having one song for the PPV themes (that Evanesence song, for example). Probably because the radio-friendly songs they use wear thin really quickly, and thus only have to play them for a month at a time.
They use King of My World for the Highlight Reel, I do believe (Or whatever crazy way they spell it).
Kane and RVD still use real artists for their themes, Finger 11 and Breaking Point, respectively.
Maven also has that song from Tough Enough.

| #16 Posted on 25.6.03 2041.19 | I'm in the minority on this one - I *hated* the Disturbed remix and I was so glad they didn't go back to it after Austin turned face via Flair the week before God became undisputed champion. The original fits much better in my mind.
And speaking of God... why didn't the WWF ever consider the Sevendust remix of "Break Down the Walls"? I thought it rocked and had a huge heelish edge that would have given God's entrances as undisputed champion a little more character.

Not to be nitpicky (but I am) The Highlight Reel music is Sevendust's remix of "Break the Walls Down" from the Forceable entry album.
Salivia's King of My World was used for Jericho's entrance music for like 3 weeks and then (thankfully) ditched for his original entrance theme.
Salivia song isn't all that bad except for the King of My World line. My!!

"America may have some problems, but it's our home. Our team. And if you don't wanna root for your team...then you should get the hell out of the stadium. Go America." --Stan Marsh, South Park
The part that drives me nuts is how they're back to the traditional Austin face music in all its recognizable goodness...but they threw his HEEL ENTRANCE VIDEO over it.
C'mon, y'all, we wanna see good ol' breaking "Austin 3:16" glass and stunners flanked by two skeletal middle-finger-givin' arms when we hear the old stuff.
The Disturbed stuff was good, but shouldn't be heard again unless Austin turns again. God forbid...'cause in his current role, he's the most entertaining thing since...uh...his heel run.
