I am not to knowledgable about divorce and it's process. If you look you, it states that Austin "Prays" to get this resolved.

Is this normal, standard??

Yes. It is a term of art, or "figure of speech" if you prefer.

So...

Anybody want to make a guess as to how long it'll be before Debra shacks up with yet a third professional wrestler?

Are two liners accepted though?

Thank you Mr. Wanz for the check, now you get an AWA World Title Reign. But be careful, my boy Greg is a heat machine.

Hey!!! What about the topic-- the Austin divorce?

(ahem.)

Wow. A while ago, we see the police report, and now the divorce papers.

Anyway, I guess the documents serve as yet another solid example that this whole situation with Austin and his soon-to-be ex-wife Debra is, in fact, all too real, which makes me wonder if there were issues between the two prior to Austin's business problems, and if his walking out of WWE twice was merely the end result of his personal issues.

The way I see it, Debra will have a much safer and happier life. She doesn't need to have someone like Steve Austin around her. Perhaps Austin himself can get his life back in order to such an extent that he can live with himself peacefully. And honestly, if his future is never coming back to the ring, I'd rather have it to where all of us fans can remember the good things we saw out of Stone Cold on TV, PPV, and at house shows, and not have to see Austin return as being any less of who he was for us.

After all, the sanctity of his life, Debra's life, and the others that are immediately involved are far more important than the sanctity of our rasslin' fandom.

Overall, I just hope for the best for them, and hopefully that point will come along when we'll all hear that glass shatter again. But who knows...

EDIT: Had to shange some grammar. Sorry.

The thing that rsally ticks me off about the whole Austin situation, is that like several celebrities, people have almost forgotten that our larger than life heroes-- aren't.
Steve Williams has personal issues. Mrs. Williams has personal issues. I just have a huge problem with folks talking about it and turning it into a tabloid subject, which has already happened.
Hope for the best for the two, and hope maybe, maybe, pro wrestling hasn't once AGAIN lost another great star befor they can properly go out.

BTW, soory for the one liner, it really wasn't intended. :L

Agreed. Hey, sometimes-- especially if he's drinking as hard as it seems he must be-- all it takes to be 'happier,' to 'get his life back in order' etc. is to just GET THE HELL AWAY FROM EACH OTHER. Many d.v. instances result from either neither party understanding that GETTING THE HELL OUT (at that moment, for a period, permanently.. whatever) or from one party trying to get out (out the door, out of the car, out of the room, out of the marriage) and the other attempting to prevent the exit.

Steve's filing was quickie and generic in the extreme, by the way-- not that anything more is required. It seems to place a huge emphasis on the 'agreement' about community property he says he expects to be forthcoming. Note that he still requests the court to certify his separate property, so he anticipates disputes about what lies on either side of the boundary. Other than that, there's not much here.

If every promo video was as good as the Ironwoman video, everything would seem important. It might just be my Sasha-Bayley love, but that was a perfect video package. Imagine a world where the divas division gets something like that.
