Stone Cold Steve Austin’s first project for WWE Films will be The Condemned™, written by Rob and Andrew Hedden. The film will be executive produced by Vince McMahon and George Vrabeck. The film will be produced by Joel Simon in association with Sidestreet/New Wave Entertainment. The story deals with a cop on death-row who is given a second chance when chosen to compete on a deadly reality show. Pursued by ruthless killers, his survival and the key to his freedom depend on him surviving long enough to take down the one person responsible for putting him behind bars.

This will end in tears.
I wonder if Steve's getting paid with his name?
I think I liked this idea better when Schwarzenegger did it.
Oh well, I wonder if Austin will walk around with his enterance music playing like in Nash Bridges. In any case, it should be... entertaining... to watch, although I'm honestly not sure if I mean that in a bad way or not...
Director: Cut! Austin: WHAT? Director: I said, cut! Austin: WHAT? Director: I can't work like this. Austin: So what you're saying is, you need a break? (WHAT?) A rest? (WHAT?) Need to take five? (WHAT?) You're finished? (WHAT?) It's all over? (WHAT?) I say "eh-eh" (Gives stunner to makeup lady, pours beer on her).
Actually, it sounds like Running Man to me. I also think they will try to bring him into Mania too since its Austin and even guest refree duties would be worth it.

Why not an Austin / Rock match. Rock's pissed that Austin's stealing his spotlight, and these two can certainly carry the feud just by doing "satellite interviews" for a few weeks leading into it.
Do we really need a FOURTH Austin/Rock 'Mania match? I'd much rather see them shunted off into other feuds with lesser build-up than sit through one of the most played-out rivalries in 'Mania history.

Can Austin get medical clearance?
Possibly not. Why risk it?

Rock really and truly killed Austin dead with three Rock Bottoms at WM XIX after a rather lackluster bout. I got mighty tired of Austin's schtick while he was on TV every week, and I don't expect I'll find it entertaining again just because we've been without it all this time.

The press release also made mention of "The Marine" with John Cena, and the Kane movie, now called "Goodnight". JimBob, I assume what you are finding scary is Jornada del muerte, "Journey of the Deadman", starring Paul Michael Levesque. Hey, I'm all for it if it means he goes away from TV for a few months.
