Well, at least he was an old timer & personally I'm sort of glad he didn't have to live with Jake over dosing. Also father to Sam Houstan & former "WWF" Women's World Champion "Rockin" Robin.

Jim Ross wrote up some interesting stuff about Grizzly Smith and his kids. I knew he was father to Jake Roberts, Sam Houston and Rockin' Robin, but I didn't know this stuff:

"Griz lived a controversial life as has been documented by his son Jake Roberts and others. Griz had two children, Jake and a daughter that was mysteriously murdered, by his first wife who I never met. He had two other children, Sam Houston (Michael Smith) and Rockin' Robin (Robin Smith) from a lady named Marsha who was Jake's teenage baby sitter. Jake discussed this matter with me during a WWE DVD interview shoot many years ago that was one of the most emotionally draining nights of my life."

The wording of the death of his daughter sorta threw me. She was married as a teenager and her husband killed her. Other than that, all I can say is I remember he had some kind of role in the old Mid South, but was never on TV much. Alsheimers is a tough way to go.

Almost makes you think they are going to build an angle for Hogan leading to a match at Mania off of this ceremony, as why give it away for (relatively) free when they could get people to buy the DVD for 20 bucks to view Hogan's induction?
