The Auburn Tigers defeated the Oregon Ducks 22-19 to become National Champions in the FBS division of college football.

It's only fitting that in this dirtiest, shadiest, most negative, most scandal-ridden, most money-corrupt year of college football ever that the Auburn Tigers out of the SEC (temporarily) win the championship.

But seriously congrats to the national champion Horned Frogs of TCU.

Loved Dyer channeling his inner Marshawn Lynch towards the end of the game. They were going to win the game anyway by that point, I wish the young kid could have gotten the game winning score.

Good game. Hate the SEC but was still rooting for Auburn. Not a big fan of Oregon's gimmicky offense, and I guess it didn't work out that well for them tonight. Congrats to Auburn.

I was rooting for Auburn to win this year, just because I want to see how things go down when the NCAA has to vacate ANOTHER National Title in a couple of years.

I was cheering for Auburn all season due my new found hate for Alabama. I did say early on the Ducks were my dark horse to win this thing though. It is a shame that Auburn looked like a dirty team with the cheap shots on Oregon players. It really didn't help their cause or the NCAA. The NCAA finally ripped off the mask of academic sportsmanship to show the real face of greed and corruption. I don't think TCU would have beaten either team since I don't think Auburn or Oregon would have been as stupid as Wisconsin not the run the ball down TCU's throats. All in all even if he did take the money, Cam was the best player this year and Auburn probably was the best team.

There is no national title to vacate. Since the NCAA does not recognize a champion, there is no championship to vacate. This is just a championship determined by polls that are independent of the National Collegiate Athletic Association.

Good God, let's not start this up again. (Along with someone's ludicrous comment that Villanova has won more national championships than Notre Dame).

It is true. As far as the NCAA is concerned, Eastern Washington is the Div I football national champion.

Auburn is the BCS and Coaches' poll champ by virtue of winning the Bowl Championship Series (a series of one game) championship game.

And it's Princeton, not Villanova that claims 26 Div I national titles (all pre-1936) to Notre Dame's 11 (or 8, or 13 depending on if you count ones they claim, they were awarded overall, or which single poll awarded them a title).
