Slam Online has this video of the Hawks theme song from the 86/87 time period.

For some reason, it's not on YouTube yet.

Though it would be good for a bit of nostalga, and a chuckle. It got me a new avatar out of the deal (a young Doc Rivers doing a Ray Charles impersination, which is better than his impersination of an NBA Coach. )

I'm usually wary of providing Youtube links here, but *ahem* that oughtta do it. This video comes from a time that one couldn't be ashamed of the organization. I gotsa check out whether Kevin Willis is retired or not. Tacky "bomb" effects, though. I think they were trying to cash in on the (possible?) team music video fad after the rousing success of the Super Bowl Shuffle.

Kevin Love of the Minnesota Timberwolves has been named the injury replacement for Yao Ming on the Western Conference All-Star team. However, this does not automatically entitle him to start. West coach Gregg Popovich will make that determination.
