Why Jarvis has a studio job is a curiousity. The guy ran the St. John's program into the ground, which as someone who hates St. John's I appreciate, and paid his bad players (hell, I can understand paying the good players, but to pay the crap players is just idiotic). True, at least Jarvis appears to be semi-conscious on the set, which is a vast improvement over the days Majerus is on, but he labeled Providence fans degenerate drunks 4 years ago when he realized that he was our bitch. On the Illinois win over Wake: Well, that Providence loss in the preseason NIT semis to Wake doesn't appear to be as much of a moral victory. Of course, the home loss to Winthrop after blowing a 16 point second half lead wasn't good either. Last time I go to a game this season sober. Might as well make Illinois #1, they were in the top 5 and knocked off 1, so they might as well have the spot for a week or two in December.

In a follow-up to this thread I posted on Christmas Eve last year, the Memphis Grizzlies have now waived 31-year-old, former three-time All-Star point guard Steve Francis. He did not appear in a game with the team, nor did he even travel with them.
