It would be one thing if they were playing in the playoffs and he tried this in an attempt to rally the troops or something,but starting this campaign in late April/early May is ridiculous. Especially when it's not even that much of a taboo. I have yet to hear an opinion from a player (former or active) or analyst that says that this is like pissing on Lou Gehrig's grave.
With that said, this is a tremendous feat. Tampa Bay has some pretty good bats in that lineup. | drjayphd
