I don't think i've seen a thread about this new show yet. Which i thought I would after the wildy popular PTI. But here it goes.

Has anybody seen this show yet? I kind of like it, the Max Kellerman and Woody Paige feud is good, and I would love to be in Max's shoes and be able to mute any of the reporters that I wanted. Also I've always liked Bob Ryan. This show is pretty much a daily Sports Reporters show, only it's like a competitive thing with points. The parting shots, are usually the best part of the show, like Sports Reporters. My only two gripes are that it's been the same 5 guys so far, I think they should get more people from other places. And also I can't stand Max's blatant biasedness towards the Yankees.

It's not as good as PTI, but it's a nice little warmup to PTI.

I've only seen one episode and I thought it was okay. I think it's going to take me a little time to warm up to Max Kellerman, though. Still, it's a better option than Uscripted or Jay Mohr.

I prefer PTI to Around The Horn. Bob Ryan is the only guy out of the bunch that I like.

I like Max on boxing, but I can't really warm up to him on this show. Nuke the guy from L.A., leave Woody and Ryan and the guy from Chicago, and just make it a hybrid Sports Reporters/PTI without the points and Max's Yankee bias.

The problem with AtH is that too many cooks spoil the soup. By the way, Jay Mariotti is the Sun-Times columnist from Chicago. I usually hate his articles 95% of the time.

PTI works, and so spin-offs are spawned. Usually, they don't work. Joanie Loves Chachi, anyone?

Actually, compared to that mirroring season of Happy Days with Flip and Casey, Joanie Loves Chachi doesn't look bad.

This pretty much sums up what I would write.

There was "lots of tinkering" going on with ATH when I visited the PTI set last week.

It just looks too much like a game show for my taste.

That doesn't say much, ya know.

I have yet to see it... never around a TV at 5:00. Maybe over Thanksgiving break... should I make a point to watch it?

This show wouldn't be so bad, except for the fact that Jay Mariotti is on the show, and I think it's possible that Mariotti might just be the Antichrist. He has the incredible ability to hammer on a point for months, and then if God forbid one of the Chicago teams follows his advice, he then spends months berating them for it a year or two later. He is an ass-clown, and his being on a show is an easy way to keep me away from it.

The AtH gimmick is going to get OLD reallly fast. This show won't have legs.

WAYYYYYY too much NBA, not enough hockey. And Bob Wyan needs a speech therapist.

I Super Troopers for the first time on HBO about 2 weeks and thought is was really funny. And it has Marisa Coughlan who is one of my favorites and she is barely in anything it seems like. She only gets cuter after she gets hit with the baseball.
