I didn't, but Tony Dungy sure did Click Here (sports.espn.go.com).
I think it is a bit of a stretch on his part. I don't think it matters if it was TO or Tom Brady. With moral vaules so high on people's mind lately the NFL should know better. The skit didn't bother me, but the NFL really doesn't need to be getting so cute with itself all the time either.

They should just use offensive lineman for all of these things from now on. Sure, they're not the most high profile guys, but who's going to be offended by a naked chick jumping into the arms of a 300+ pounder?

Ya see, here's why Dungy is wrong on this one...

First off, it doesn't make TO look like anything like a sexual predator. He, in the ad, spurned the towel-clad woman's advances several times before giving in. I'm not sure that people would describe that as "predatory" behavior.

Also, why does this commercial now need to be compared to a sexual assault trial/allegation. Oh, the hyperbole!

Plus, to say that we wouldn't see Parcells or Ried in a spot like that is ridiculous. You wouldn't see them, of course, but you wouldn't see Dennis Green either. Why? Because it would look ridiculous to have coach in the spot instead of a charismatic superstar. And I could definately see a white player in TO's spot.

Now shutup Dungy and stop complaining about how appaling it is. (And did I here that Dan Rooney said this was the most appaling thing he'd ever seen? Wow....)

Well, shit. That still doesn't ring a bell. Did that happen in the last two or three weeks? If so, I missed it.

The plumber, he's the dude who wanted to get his screwdriver back after the cops were called?

Jeez, I need to get that tape from my friend. She's making a big tape for her sis-in-law and I really need to borrow it now. I got all the characters mixed up.

The main problem was false advertising, Desperate Housewifes is a Lifetime show with little T&A. Even I'm not pussywhipped into watching it more than once.

I was also only offended that they used the blonde instead of the hispanic chick. How about Terri Hatcher not being the hot one one that show? Her stock has sure fallen since her days on MacGyver.

Dungy's comments were wrong in many ways. Implying that Sheridan has Aids. Playing the race card. Mostly calling it rape when she obviously snuck into his locker room and jumped into his arms.

Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill.

But I am curious about a couple of things. The first I actually heard of this was the report of the ABC apology. Was there anything to speak of before that? See, the apology comes off as an admission of guilt, even though I really don't personally makes this much different than other stuff on primetime TV. I just wonder that if ABC would have just not said anything if this would have just blown over, or even amounted to anything at all. But then maybe ABC actually WANTED the controversy. Afterall, that little promo has gotten a ton more mileage than it would have otherwise.

The only way Dungy's comments make any kind of sense is if you extrapolate to say that after the encounter, she was going to lie and claim he forced himself on her.

I just feel bad for TO. Another week, and he's still making headlines for his off the field behaviour. And this time, it really isn't his fault.

I don't know if Nicole Sheridan would have gone for the ugliest man in pro football like she did for T.O.

What made me laugh is that he actually apologized if it offended anyone. All his trouble making antics on and off the field, he apologizes for one of the things he really did no wrong.

Those events were in the very first episode.

Yes, I will admit I watch the show too.
