Since Pro-wrestling is the only thing on the net that I ever write about or visit message boards about, I always wondered something: does pro-wrestling have the worst (or best, depending how you look at it) net fans? I mean, does say, Star Trek have an official site, three semi-legit news oriented web zines, several more opinion oriented sites, numerous message boards, and assorted random fan pages everywhere? Or am I just missing he whole "internet" thing, and indeed EVERYONE'S dumb hobby is like this?

So are we the worst? And if not, who is?

You answered your own question:
indeed EVERYONE'S dumb hobby is like this

I would say that Trek fans were much worse than Wrestling fans, but without much going on in the Trek universe these days they might have fallen off the radar a bit. Dunno who the worst is though.

Gotta be Trek fans. How many people run around dressed up like Kane or Kurt Angle?

You're in a desert, walking along in the sand when all of a sudden you look down and see a tortoise. It's crawling towards you. You reach down and flip the tortoise over on its back. The tortoise lays on its back, its belly baking in the hot sun, beating its legs trying to turn itself over. But it can't. Not without your help. But you're not helping.

Does wearing a singlet to work count?

I only pull down the straps when I get close to a deadline...

Roll On The Floor Laughing My Ass Off.

At least, that's what it means to me. Everybody else always has their own interpretations, though

Mrs. DrOp has found message boards and sites for everyshow she watches, from ER to the Practice to the Young and the Restless.

They exist and they complain and bitch just as much as we do.

Do you force her to refer to herself as "Mrs. DrOp"?

I bet those Practice boards are really great..."bring back Richard Bey" threads and all...

Yup. I'm tyrannical that way.

One of those statements is a lie.

The other is also a lie. (tm, thecubsfan)

Must be a Baltimore thing...do you make her dress like a valet when you take her to MCW shows? Maybe in a evening gown and sash like Mona Madness...."Mrs. DrOp 2002"...

At Wrestlemania, there were a few people dressed up as Hogan, Rock, Austin, Kane, and the Undertaker.

Dude, you want to see fanatical worship, hit some Tori Amos sites sometime. They're 100 times more obsessive than we are generally, and as single-minded in their worship as a chubby Hardyz fan ;)

"You used it to shove your miserable daughter down our throats week in and week out...not anymore!" - Ric Flair gives me hope, Raw 3/18/02

Hey Travis, don't get me wrong, you're funny and all but perhaps you're noticing that every other post in this thread is authored by you and MAYBE you might want to consider NOT expressing every thought that pops into your head. Just sayin'.

You see those everywhere..not just Canada.
what about RR 2k with the chef boyardee guys?
What is sick however is that I have been to two wwf shows in germany and at both occasions there was this guy dressed and groomed like 93 Shawn Miichaels..

DrOp said it already, there are boards for everything.
A friend of mine watches Charmed and occasionally checks the boards about that show gets pissed off at them for acting all Wrestling-smart like when they talk about who wasn't on an episode and what this means for their contracts..

When he checked some of the posters' profiles they were all teenage girls. Now you know where the hardcore Hardy boyz fanz post

One of my "underlings" here at work is an insane rap fan and into the whole urban culture. He hits various rap message boards and I have read a few threads. Now when those guys complain they complain. To the point they threaten to kill one another.

I always thought that would happen between that ironclad Lou guy and CRZ. I guess Z is saving it for the PPV though. :-)

Ha, that is pretty lame. Heck even I didn't write my SD review on here yet because I'm waiting for Afterburn to see the first match of the night because I came home about 10 minutes after SD started.
