I found this story from wwe.com to be very interesting. Basically it says that the Arab characters debut tonight and Raw will "explore the challenges they face after 9/11". It seems that WWE is having a bit of a premptive strike against the backlash that they'll probably face. At the very least, it shall be interesting to see how hard they are pushed and how offensive this becomes.| Promote this thread! |           | Hurrikane757k

Talk about being careful... on house shows they've been working as heels, but with all of the garbage they put out there last year about the war (specificially La Resistance, Steiner/Nowinski, etc.), I can't see them revisiting it again with the risk of pissing off even more of WWE's fanbase. Maybe they'll actually take a sympathetic, classy approach with the characters. | jwrestle

If WWE really wanted to 'explore the challenges they face after 9/11' they would've has Hassan be a face, and some jerkass heel be the one that plays ugly American in attacking him. Instead it just looks like Tiger Ali Singh version 2.0

I saw the same Eugene correlation as soon as I read the release. However, unlike Eugene, they've managed to make this gimmick completely run-of-the-mill by the end of the first promo.
Hassan's going to be just another foreign heel. Don't give me bananas and call them magic yellow fruit.
