Just wondering what I missed. Did they wheel out Dory Funk or the Freebirds yet. I just know Russo would LOVE to throw out a skeleton one night and say it's Dick the Bruiser.

Yeah, I got it. I just don't comment on NWA/TNA anymore cause I got tired of defending it against people that don't "get it". Stick to what you know. Bitch about the WWEEEE Monopoly and rag on the alternative you don't see. That way you are double smart.

Actually, I've seen it twice and liked what I saw. Unfortuneatly, I work on wednesdays till 1am and I don't get to be home to order it. I like that they get the older guys to come on, and I actually don't mind Russo all that much.

I genuinely WANT to know what happened. Now that I'm with AOL, I can get wednesdays off soon, and I'm just wanting to keep up so I don't get lost.

Yes, I got it. You missed: Disco continuing to deliver good promo stuff; a very bloody Raven / Styles Ladder match; Jim Duggan teaming with Moondog Spot (very, very brief); the return of Malice to help The New Church take out XXX, and the tease of a new, fourth member of The New Church next week; Eric Watts showing us nothing good at all, either promo- or wrestling-wise; Truth turning on Jarrett; no nudity and (huh!) some censorship on the swearing; no Russo at all; Kash vs. Red vs. Trinity for the X title, with teased dissension between Kash and Trinity; and Konnan & Juvi vs. Lynn and Jason Cross. Those are the high (and low) points.

To sum up: Several good matches, one really very bad short one, some fair mic work, no big surprises, and nothing I'd kill someone to see -- but I got my $10 worth. Pretty solid show.

Hey, hey, HEY! Dammit! They could just bring in Dick the Bruiser, Jr! He's in the NEW AWA. Or they could bring ME out (That's right ME!) I am known only by my avatar in public.

It's a good thing they didn't schedule and Sandman/Corino follow-up so they would have plenty of time for Moondog Spot and Hacksaw Jim.

So this is what it sounds like when the doves cry.

In the time spent on that Moondog/Hacksaw stuff Sandman wouldn't even be able to make his entrance, since the whole match ran less than 2 minutes. And oh yeah, it did work to further the Sanders/Gilberti tensions.

Last night's show was solid without being spectacular. Someone elsewhere said "Glen Gilberti must have taken the magic interview pill recently" and I think they're right. He has had a couple of weeks in a row of just damn good mic work, and is almost single-handedly keeping the SEX angle going.

I like that they're finally working to add some personality to the X division with the Kash/Trinity/Red angle. As long as Trinity doesn't SWERVE~! her way over to Red for no good reason but to shock us it should be all good. Raven and Styles are working better together than I thought they would. And the tag division with XXX, AMW, New Church, and some of the random teams thrown in is working better than Raw's by a long way, and isn't TOO far removed from Smackdown.

Other complaint from last night is the Killings heel turn. Geez did that crowd explode when he down for the save at the beginning. I think they would have been better served for him to make hit and run saves, yet never really align with NWA.

The Russo-style "swerve" would actually be if she slowly appears to "see the light," join up with Red...and the almost immediately reveal she was with Kash all along.

By the way, Trinity's nose is starting to become an object of fixation...which means I've finally cracked the code of why she wears them outfits. It draws away the eyes from other features, you see. ;-)

This WAS classic Russo - Killings shows up in the beginning of the show to a massive pop...so you KNOW he's gonna turn about an hour later. Anybody who's familiar with his formula saw that coming a mile away. "Here comes Killings to celebrate the win - OHHHHHH NOOOOOO" was a total eye-roller. (The counter, of course, is "why are you such a smark that life holds no surprises for you?" to which I reply: "well, I'm like 'CRZ.'")

Well, I lost my NWA:TNA virginity last night. I must say that there were some things that I liked and some I didn't. So, I'd say that it was pretty mediocre.

I really liked Gilberti's promos. Jesus, it's hard to believe this guy was the Disco Inferno. His mic skills were great last night. I thought I'd never say it, but he was the best part of the show. I also enjoyed, in no particular order, AJ Styles, Raven, Trinity's butt, Kid Kash, Lowki, Elix Skipper, Sonny Siaki (he really IS the next Rock) and Brian Lawler (yes, you heard me...he was the best thing about that tag match last night).

What I didn't like was Moondog Spot, Jarrett (never saw what all the fuss was about), Dusty losing his pants and us having to endure his asscrack, Erik Watts (God, he really IS that bad), David Flair, Russoriffic booking, and ABOVE ALL, DON FREAKING WEST. Worst...commentator...ever!

Overall, it was good, but I don't really want to pay $10 a week for it. I may get it once a month, but not regularly.

Get well soon Kurt, Batista, Randy, Edge, Kevin, Scotty, Bubba, Regal....

Man, that's depressing...and I know there's people I've forgotten!

I think Don West works on a slow subliminal level. I loathed him in Week 1...but as the weeks went on I began to say "hey, I don't hate him nearly as much as I used to." By week 19 or so I was up to "he's better than Lawler calling a bra and panties match". In the last 6 weeks or so I now plan on voting him as my favorite color man in the RSPW awards most likely. I think it might be that I like the dynamic of 2 face commentators, where West begrudgingly gives respect to the bad guys. That or it's just my sick sick love of the whole shop at home phenomoneon (looks at his autographed Shawn Leflar/Tom O'Dell photo) God help me.

Seriously, the show is tough to judge as a standalone. If you can afford it, I'd really recommend to anyone to try and give it a 3 week stint to really get into the flow and pacing of things.

Trinity jumping in and attacking Red after doing nothing the whole "Three-way" match was lame. On the plus side she got smacked around too. Here's to Red taking Kash's title for him having that trick anyway. Go Red!

Whatever the name was of the guy who used to be with Tony on the old WCW...David Crockett, was it? HE was the worst.

Did somebody say "fuck up"? Why you must be thinking of The Wall from the old WCW days, now known as Malice. He looks a lot better than he used to, but he's far from perfect. And yes, I would drop LOADS OF CASH to see Tajiri and Low Ki KICK THE SHIT OUT OF EACH OTHER someday.

TNA was tempting, but I wasn't in the mood for wrestling on the night that bombs were about to fall in the Middle East. Besides, I had a gut feeling that La Parka wouldn't show and it looks like I was right.

But it should be noted that La Parka HAS been scheduled to appear, but can't seem to get past some pesky visa problems. It won't be long before he's swinging chairs on my TV again and I'll love every second of it!

Forget Brock! TRINITY is the Next Big Thing! Congrats to both Kid Kash and TRINITY~! on signing long-term deals with TNA!

Is Buck Hawke Shayne Hawke? And if so how/why has his gimmick changed? I could just ask Hawke I suppose, but I would like to get the audience perspective, plus we have this weird half-feuding relationship that sometimes spills over into real life.
