I can't seem to get any of my computers to resolve DNS right now. I can only get to web pages from computers that already had the pages open.

This is quite odd.

Hmm... if I put a proxy in, I can get out. I have no problem connecting via IP here locally.

Oh well, this is probably just a local Road Runner thing.

I have a desktop computer running Windows XP with a fried ethernet port. The only way I can get it to the internet is through a wireless ethernet adapter (it uses a D-LINK WUA-2340).
