James just clued me in on this - apparently we're nearing the END of its product cycle, but I've never seen it. Did anybody try it?

I tried it strictly out of curiousity, and you know how sometimes some of the Snapple stuff is so overbearingly sweet that you feel that dry sticky sensation at the roof of your mouth? On that front this stuff delievers in spades.

That and it tasted odd. I'd classify it as just a bit different from apple juice, but it had this really weird aftertaste to it.

If Martha Stewart's obituary had a typo in it, would it read "Beloved Aunt"?

I got to try a few bottles of the Apple Crisp flavor they retired a few years back, and I loved the stuff. But I haven't had Snapple Pie.

Does anyone remember the "Tru Root Beer" they had out? It was a clear liquid and it was awful.

They had an "Apple Pie" flavor years ago, IIRC. I tried it a couple of times and found it, well, unusual -- tasted like oversweetened apple juice with a weird cinnamony flavor mixed in.

"I do have a degree in electrical engineering... from almost 20 years ago. Punchcard systems were just becoming obsolete, we had rotary phones in the dorms, and a modem was still a gizmo the size of a shoebox into which you squooshed the phone receiver itself. In short, we lived like animals.

The instant obsolesence is why I became a writer. The rate of punctuation in a sentence doesn't double every 18 friggin' months, and you never have some 22-year-old looming over your shoulder, shaking his head, saying "dude... you're still using adverbs...?"

I really enjoyed reading "The Talisman", and I even enjoyed reading the sequel, "The Dark House" (I think that was the name). I can't get the page to load, but I hate to read that the movie doesn't look good on paper.
