Long story short, we're foster parenting a Macaw for a few months. The bird is beautiful, and very, VERY loud and active. I know when we go to work the birds going to be lonely.
So, I was wondering if there was a place to get an album worth of bird sounds, or something similar, so that he doesn't feel isolated.
I've read that they are very social animals and that they will have self destructive behavior if they do not get enough attention.
I usually don't like birds as pets, but this thing is pretty awesome and I want it to be a part of our family as much as possible when we're there, and I hope that keeping it occupied with either music, bird calls, or even the TV on, would keep him occupied while we're out.
Thanks for any help or suggestions you guys might have!
I agree. with a little luck and care they are good for 300,000 miles, especially a five speed. plus the older ones have the advantage of fewer electric gizmos to break. I even got 275,000 mile out of a 1983 Nissan Sentra.
