The 33-year-old actor was accused by an unidentified woman of luring her into a trailer on the set of his latest movie, "Hustle & Flow," and sexually assaulting her. Also accused is the film's assistant director, Wayne Witherspoon.
Both men were charged on Wednesday after being taken into custody by the Shelby County Sheriff's Department.

Sheriff's spokesman Steve Shular said a passer-by heard screams coming from the trailer and opened the door.
"And she ran out nude," Shular said.
I became a big fan of his after "Me, Myself, & Irene." The scenes with the sons were GOLD. Esp the German in the hewey.
I hate to say this, but when you know somebody from a DVD commentary only...you don't really know them at all. I like Anderson's work, it's pretty funny...and I hope this turns out to be a horrible misunderstanding. If it isn't? Well...let's hope the system works.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - A judge has thrown out rape charges filed in July against Anthony Anderson, a star of the 2003 movie "Kangaroo Jack," and another man, the actor's spokesman said on Wednesday.
Allan Mayer said that Judge Anthony Johnson dismissed the case brought by a film extra at a preliminary hearing in Memphis, Tennessee, after calling the woman's testimony suspicious and bizarre.
"He is, of course, both relieved and delighted by the judge's decision to throw out what was so obviously a trumped-up case," Mayer said.
The woman had accused Anderson and Wayne Witherspoon, an assistant director on the upcoming film "Hustle & Flow," of raping her in a trailer on that film's set. Charges against Witherspoon also were dropped.
THIS WEEK IN TV We're making our slog to the end of the major television season. Come June 1st, we'll have two weeks of Glee left and all the summer shows (though I will admit that it seems like more shows than they had in previous years).
