His bulky cast won't keep him from being a presence around the practice floor, though. And he made that clear Saturday, when he was spotted on the practice court at Conseco Fieldhouse with his bathrobe over his practice gear.
Artest, speaking publicly for the first time since the surgery, said the robe was a symbolic reminder to take it easy. So instead of running sprints, like he wanted to, Artest spent much of his time lofting one-handed jump shots on the auxiliary rims surrounding the practice court.
How can you not love this guy's insanity? :)
