"WWE investors indicate that the four cents a share dividend that the company announced in their last financial report has been paid out, which means that the McMahon family will be gaining a lot of money since they own millions of shares of the stock."
When a dividend is paid out on a stock, the stock’s price decreases by exactly the amount of the dividend, so that the worth of your portfolio is exactly the same as before the dividend was paid. If you held 100 shares of a stock trading at $10, your portfolio would be worth $1000. If a $0.05 dividend was then paid out, you would receive $5 in dividend payments, but now the stock would be worth $9.95. Your portfolio would then have $5 in cash, and $995 in stock, or $1000 total. No investor gains *wealth* from a dividend payment. Yes, you would have *cash* lying around, but it’s not *extra* cash, and that cash is usually reinvested to buy more shares of stock anyway. Incidentally, if you used that $5 cash to buy more stock, your total portfolio value would still be $1000.
And that's different from any other publicly-traded stock HOW??? What a lame attempt at `news'. I hope they didn't put on their super-duper premium site.
Meanwhile, the WWE put out an actual press release today, outlining their sponsors for 'Mania. Subway is doing those `WrestleMania recall' segments; Fleer is doing a special series of 40 trading cards that you can only get by PPV' and FYE stores are doing something as well. Okay, that's not huge news, but it's SOMETHING. Yet I bet no one at 1wrestling picked up on THAT.
I noticed that today, myself Mr. Shh. Let me ask you, when you read the headline for that story..did you get the idea that 1wrestling was trying to belittle the McMahons. It seemed that way to me. Like "The McMahons will be rolling in money" implying that ONLY the McMahons make any money within that company?
I have heard from several inside sources that the WWE has made arrangements with a number of companies to pay the WWE in return for advertising. These companies are now being refered to by WWE officials and those of us in the industry as "advertisers".
These "advertisers" may or may not include Taco Bell, Pizza hut, Subway, the Garbage Pail Kids trading card company, FYE, Old Navy, and Lane Byrant women's clothing stores. Many backstage have given me the following EXXCLUSIVE NEWZ: It is being reported that the trading cards will only feature the likenesses of current WWE performers. These cards are not set to be released to the public until sometime after right now.

GOLD, pure GOLD! Thanks for the lizzaugh.
Molly, Stacy and Daffney all in WWE? I suddenly lost all my will to complain about anything regarding the WWE. Hope I don't lose my street cred for this.
TS, the greatest Wiener rated 6.4948 ever to live!! Oops, I mean 5.5...4.5?? Oh, dammit! I guess Notorious FAB was right.
I personally am all for spoiler warnings. The problem with your scenario is that there is still a chance that given the circumstances, O'Haire could appear on Raw.
