I just read that "General bitching etc." and noticed the thing on the bottm that asks me to click to sgnify that I have read that announcement. Does this mean you keep track of who has read this and who has not?

Oops.

That's part of my evil code that was never really implemented.

I put a way in place to force everyone to read announcements before it would let the post / read the board again.

CRZ shot it down. That link on the announcement page is part of that whole process. Basically, you can't leave the announcement page until you confirm that you have read it.

/edit: If that feature is turned on, which it isn't.

I think there's code in place to FORCE you to read the announcements, and that's got something to do with that thing at the bottom there. But since I didn't turn that on, it doesn't matter if you click or not. (He can 'splain it better.)

EDIT: See, he jus' did. ;-)

Looks like we/somebody coded an overflow into our cookie generator, so some time over the past 24 hours, all cookies were reset from 2038 to 1901 - which means they promptly expired after the browser session using them ended.
