Just ugh)

And for a split second I thought about going to tonight's show. I'm glad I decided to order some tapes of Super Astros instead.

Lawler in the ring again? WTF is going on? Can we actually get wrestlers over instead of announcers? What purpose does this serve? Hopefully this will be kept short and in the 1st hour.

| #3 Posted on 24.2.03 1601.58 | This is pure spekulashun, but isn't it weird that the official preview refers to Jacqueline as "Jackie?" For months now, they have been calling her Jacqueline to differentiate between her and Jackie Gayda. This could mean Gayda is toast. Or not. But it's interesting, nonetheless.

| #4 Posted on 24.2.03 1607.00 | Looks like it's going to be up to Stone Cold and Rock to save this show. It will be interesting to see Orton wrestle and Jericho and HBK will have to do something. Maybe even some advancement on the Jeff Hardy turn. I guess there is some hope for this show.

| #5 Posted on 24.2.03 1609.40 | It's good to see Orton and Morely back in the ring anyway.
Actually, looking down the list, there doesn't look to be anything particularily bad.
Booker/Steiner v. Batista/Orton
Will be pretty good, provided Booker spends the most time in the ring an Dave Davidson and Randy are willing to speed up their offense to match him. Plus, I smell a Triple H run in to bridge the gaps nicely between his Steiner feud and his possible Booker feud.
Jackie v. Jazz
Won't be BAD per se. I'm guessing there will be a HUGE lack of heat, though.
Jerry Lawler vs. Chief Morley
Eh. It'll probably be fun. Lawler can still pull out alot of emotion, and The Chief's not a bad wreslter. It'll be a fun diversion.
Kane (w/ RVD) vs. Lance Storm (w/ William Regal)
The match itself probably won't be great, but I think either Rob or Kane will turn here, so it'll have good story.
I can't forsee any problems.

| #6 Posted on 24.2.03 1614.34 | Isn't there going to be a battle royale for the #1 contendership or something?
I'm going to the show tonight. And from the looks of these matches, it looks like I'm gonna have to get drunk to enjoy it.
By the way, Storm's gimmick includes 1.) telling the audience to shut up, and 2.) occasionally making everyone stand for the Canadian national anthem. You know they don't know what to do with a wrestler when he's making fans stand for a national anthem. It's like waving a white flag and saying, "This guy has no personality -- we give up."

I guess...but usually Lawler in the ring is such a diversion, that I divert my attention to another channel. I just don't see the point in having announcers in the ring, period. I am sure Lawler will be getting his ass handed to him and Austin will make the save, but damn...do we really need to have Lawler in the ring at all?

I hope they pick up on the Booker/HHH stuff from the last RAW. Maybe HHH can come out and cut something like, "You know, after a big win(ah) last night(ah), there's was one thing that kept me from celebrating. One man, who got a fluke win over me last Monday night. One man kept me from enjoying what I have fought for and beaten everybody in the business for. And that is a man who Evolution has TRULY passed by..... Booker T!!"
Then Booker comes out, you know the rest. A team of monkeys could write it!

Well, a match like that would be the sort of thing announced by Vince/Bischoff at the top of the show, and, to flesh out a match like that *and* put on another hour and a half of show, a lot of people would have to pull double duty.
Still seems pretty likely to me, especially since they need to come up with HHH's opponent ASAP. (Wrestlemania needs HYPE.)

| #12 Posted on 24.2.03 1751.34 | So Austin probably won't be there but they DO set aside time for a Morley/Lawler match? Oy.
There's the minimum amount of good stuff here to make it worth staying awake for 2 hours but only just.
You'd hope that the WWE would realise that constant baiting and switching has already pissed the audience off enough and maybe it's time to give a little in the name of goodwill. And also to capitalise off of what was by all accounts a hot PPV. How foolishly naive I feel.
I used to watch RAW looking forward to it. Now I watch praying it won't be as terrible as I think.

Have Gayda and Linda been off the Superstars list for long? Nash is still on it somehow - I guess they just want us to forget TE2 never happened.
On another note, at least Austin didn't come back with a big beergut this time.

Why would Rob turn Heel? Kane is the more obvious one to do it, He already choke slammed Van Dam last night 'on accident' so tonight he should do it again... and again... then pop off his pyro and choke slam his ass AGAIN just for fun.
